Former Galway hurling star Rory Gantley has taken up a coaching role with All-Ireland champions Clare.
The Beagh clubman was an interested spectator at last Sunday’s TUS Club All-Stars fundraising match in Cusack Park, after which Banner boss Brian Lohan confirmed that he had joined his backroom team for 2025. Gantley replaces Tipperary native Shane Hassett, who has stepped down due to study commitments.
Gantley, whose late father Finbarr also represented Galway with distinction, was involved with the Tubber team which contested the recent Clare IHC final, while he also coached Kilmallock to Limerick SHC success in 2021.
