Fermanagh joined Louth in earning promotion to Division 3 of the Allianz Hurling League next season thanks to a 2-21 to 1-10 win against Lancashire at the Abbottstown GAA Centre of Excellence this afternoon.
After taking in a 0-15 to 0-8 lead at half-time in the capital, the Ernesiders conceded an early second-half goal and then wiped it out with a goal of their own from Sean Corrigan before adding another to take complete control.
A margin of 14 points would stand between the teams come the final whistle and the result sees Fermanagh now set to face Louth in the Division 4 final next weekend.
The last round in the fourth tier also saw Warwickshire lifting themselves from the bottom of the table with an emphatic 4-14 to 0-7 victory against Leitrim at the Connacht Centre of Excellence, while Longford bagged their third league win by seeing off Monaghan on a 3-15 to 2-13 scoreline at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
