Ken McGrath has been named as a selector in new Waterford senior hurling manager Stephen Molumphy’s backroom team.

Molumphy’s managerial set-up was confirmed yesterday and includes Deise legend McGrath, who won four Munster SHC titles in his county’s colours along with three All-Star Awards.

McGrath, who has steered the county U20s for the past couple of years, also served as a senior selector when Michael Ryan was in charge.

Joining the Mount Sion clubman in the new Waterford backroom team are Shane Briggs and Nigel Skehan. Briggs was part of the Carlow senior set-up recently, while Skehan worked under Peter Queally in the previous Deise management.

It has also been confirmed that Kilkenny’s Mickey Comerford will be the lead strength and conditioning coach in Molumphy’s ticket.
