With a multi weather hazard event to hit Ireland this weekend the GAA has said it will continue to review pitches ahead of a number of All-Ireland Club football matches.
Gaelic Games return for the first weekend of 2025 and there is an Orange Weather alert in place for six counties for snow and ice.
“Due to the current weather forecast, the GAA will monitor the pitches over the weekend, any changes will be notified as soon as possible,” said a GAA spokesperson in relation to the fixtures for this Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday sees two All-Ireland Club IFC semi finals while the two senior semi finals will take place on Sunday, along with the All-Ireland Club JFC semi final.
The Midlands is expected to bear the brunt of the cold weather and there are fixtures in Roscommon, Laois and Offaly in the coming days.
Since the statement, the GAA has already moved one game with the All-Ireland IFC semi-final between Austin Stacks and Ballinderry now going ahead in Parnell Park rather than Tullamore.
