Former Sunday Game host Des Cahill cheered Cuala to an historic Leinster club SFC final win at Croke Park on Saturday evening in the company of a young man who he described as the club’s ‘greatest warrior’.
Cahill posted a photo on social media afterwards of him and four other happy Cuala supporters, including Sean Drummond who was a rising star of the Dalkey club before suffering life-changing injuries in a car accident five years ago.
"This little gang watched the greatest night in Cuala football history in a quiet corner of the stand...in the company of the club’s greatest warrior,” the former Cuala GAA chairman said.
"But for his accident, Sean Drummond would have been playing last night.
"A true leader as we moved through the ranks to Senior 1."
