Cargin will play Dunloy in next month’s Antrim senior football championship final after two second-half goals saw them past St Brigid’s in Dunswilly.
Played in soaking wet conditions, the holders made a slow start and it’d see them trailing by 0-5 to 0-3 at the halfway stage.
St Brigid’s extended their lead after the turnaround but Conhuir Johnston’s goal on 45 minutes turned the tide the way of Cargin as they hit the front.
Kevin O’Boyle sent in the champions’ second major with eight minutes remaining as they now look forward to another decider date.
After yesterday’s 2-8 to 0-10 win over Portglenone, Dunloy will look to dethrone Cargin in their first SFC final appearance in the Saffron County in 82 years.Tweet
