Limerick may have conceded an early goal but they proved untouchable in the first-half of this evening’s Allianz Hurling League clash against Cork at the LIT Gaelic grounds.
The All-Ireland champions laid down a marker in the opening 35 minutes ahead of their rematch with the Rebels in four weeks’ time in the Munster championship.
This classy point from Peter Casey (see below) helped the hosts recover from the concession of Jack O’Connor’s 11th minute goal as they went on and blazed towards a commanding 0-20 to 1-7 lead at the half.
