Kevin O’Brien has stepped down as Wicklow minor football manager.
The former All Star forward enjoyed a very successful first season in which Wicklow recorded wins over Westmeath, Louth, Dublin and Kildare in the round-robin series of the Leinster MFC before losing to champions-elect Meath in the semi-final.
This year, the Garden County made the quarter-final, only to lose to Dublin by 1-9 to 0-20 in Aughrim. The Wicklow county board have already begun the process of finding a replacement for the legendary Baltinglass forward.
