There was incredible drama at the Athletic Grounds where a free-taking competition was needed to decide an epic Ulster club IFC semi-final between Cavan's Mullahoran and Banagher of Derry.
After two periods of extra-time had failed to separate the sides, Mullahoran won 5-3 on free kicks to progress to the final against Antrim's Naomh Eanna, who defeated Tattyreagh of Tyrone by 0-13 to 1-8 in the second part of tonight's double-header.
Mullahoran and Banagher were level on 0-12 to 1-9 at the end of normal time, with Tiarnan Moore's last-minute point for the latter forcing extra-time. They were still deadlocked at the end of the first 20-minute period of extra-time (0-17 to 1-14) and at the end of the second 10-minute period (0-19 to 1-16).
A free-taking competition followed with Cormac O'Reilly scoring the decisive point.
In the other semi-final, Odhran Eastwood, Eoin Nagle, Ruairi Scott and Mickey Morgan were the scoring heroes for Naomh Eanna in their suprise win over Tattyreagh.
