Kilcormac/Killoughey Camogie Notes

Minor Championship:

Our Minors kicked off their Championship campaign on Monday evening in Mountbolus with a win over Lusmagh/ Drumcullen. It was a high scoring game ending 3-12 to 1-14.

U11 Blitz:

Well done to our U11 team who played their blitz in Kilcormac. The girls played against Naomh Brid, St. Sinchill’s and Lusmagh. Well done to all the girls on a great effort.

U13 League:

Our U13s played very well in their game against St. Sinchill’s on Wednesday evening but were unlucky not to come away with a win. The girls played brilliantly and showed off all their skills.

Junior Cup Semi-Final:

Very well done to our Junior team who won their Junior Semi-Final against Lusmagh/ Drumcullen on Friday evening in Mountbolus. The goals made all the difference with K/K winning 3-11 to 0-11. Our Junior Team will face Tullamore in the Junior Cup final on Sunday the 15th of September.

U7/U9 League:

Well done to our U7/ U9 teams who had their blitz in Carrig on Saturday evening. The girls played some really good games against St. Cillian’s, Birr and Kinnitty.

U15 League:

Our U15s had their game against Brosna Gaels in Ballycumber on Saturday evening. The girls played really well to get the win against a tough Brosna Gaels side.

Senior Championship:

Our Senior team had a hard battle on Sunday against Shinrone in the third round of the Senior Championship. The girls worked hard to finish with a draw with a scoreline of 0-12 to 1-09. Centre forward Debbie Flynn created most of the scores, scoring 0-10 with Jane Lowry and Aideen Quinn scoring a point each.
