Offaly Camogie and LGFA unveil historic joint fixtures booklet

Offaly Camogie and Offaly Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) launched their inaugural joint fixtures booklet for the 2024 season in The Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore last Wednesday, April 24.

This marks the first time in history that fixtures have been coordinated on a week-to-week basis between the two bodies, a significant step forward for women's sports in Offaly.

The joint fixtures booklet is a collaborative effort between Offaly Camogie and Offaly LGFA, aimed at streamlining, scheduling and promoting greater participation and support for both sports. By synchronizing their schedules, both organisations aim to enhance the experience for players, coaches, and supporters alike, allowing for increased attendance at matches and reducing scheduling conflicts for players involved in both sports.

Commenting on this historic collaboration, James Kirwan, Chairperson of Offaly Camogie, said: "We are delighted to partner with Offaly LGFA on this initiative. By aligning our fixtures, we can create more opportunities for women and girls to participate in sports, whether it's camogie or Gaelic football. The joint fixtures booklet for the 2024 season will include details of all fixtures for both Offaly Camogie and Offaly LGFA, including league matches, championship games and any additional events. It will be made available to clubs, players, and supporters in both digital and printed formats.
