Under 10s

Our Under 10s played in their final Glenisk Go Games of the year last Wednesday evening when they travelled to Lusmagh to play Lusmagh, Shinrone and St Rynaghs.  The girls gave their all in each of the games and battled well.  Well done throughout the year girls and remember to keep up your practice.  Thank you to the girls' coaches for their dedication and work with the girls throughout the year.

Special Guest at Training

Orlagh Phelan, Captain on the All Ireland winning Offaly Camogie Minor team paid a visit to our Under 13s and Under 15s at their training on Thursday evening.  Orlagh spoke to the girls about her experience in camogie to date and highlighting what can be achieved when players put in the necessary work.  Orlagh was joined by our own Alannah Dooley who was also a member of the All Ireland winning team and both went on to do some drills with our girls.

Afterwards Orlagh and Alannah had photos taken with the girls, including the Under 8s and Under 10s.

Many thanks to Orlagh for her visit.

Kilmacud 7s

Our Senior girls travelled to Dublin on Saturday to play in the Kilmacud 7s tournament.  It was a great experience for them where they beat Mountbellew (Galway) in their first match and drew with Newtownshandrum (Cork) in their second match in their group.  They went on to win their game in the second round before losing out to Westport (Mayo) in the quarter finals.  Well done to the girls and we hope they enjoyed the trip.

Offaly Camogie Summer Camp

19 girls from our club attended the Offaly Camogie Summer Camp in St Brendan's Park last week.  The girls were coached by current and past Offaly players throughout the week and had a fantastic experience.  Well done girls.

Trip to Croke Park

A bus of over 30 people from the club enjoyed a trip to Croke Park on Sunday for the All Ireland Camogie Finals.  It was a memorable day as they watched the Offaly Under 14 Development team parade around Croke Park at half time during the Intermediate Final.  Afterwards they enjoyed the Senior Final with some of our girls becoming Kilkenny and Cork supporters for the day, with the adopted Kilkenny supporters being the happier when the final whistle blew.
