Paschal Kellaghan will reprise his role as Rhode senior football manager in 2025.
The former Offaly star, who won seven county SFC medals as a player and two as a manager with ‘The Village’, replaces Peter Tormey who has taken up a coaching role with Peter Keane in Clare. Kellaghan will be assisted by club stalwarts Pat Daly and Declan Gorman, who have also managed Rhode to Dowling Cup success in the past decade.
Kellaghan was still in the middle of his playing career when he steered Ballinabrackey and Monasterevin to Leinster club JFC and IFC titles in 2010 and 2012 respectively. He led Rhode to back-to-back Offaly SFC titles in 2016 and '17 before coaching Westmeath in 2019 and '20.
For the past two years, he had co-managed Coralstown/Kinnegad alongside Jack Cooney, guiding them to a Westmeath SFC final against St Loman’s in 2023 and a semi-final against The Downs this year.
Rhode are hoping that Kellaghan's return will revive their fortunes after a couple of disappointing seasons by their own high standards.
