Mickey Harte was in attendance at the Daingean GAA grounds for yesterday’s heavyweight Offaly senior football championship clash between holders Rhode and Tullamore.
After being linked with a number of different roles following his departure from Derry after one season in charge, last week saw the three-time All-Ireland winning boss recommended by the Offaly GAA Management Committee as the new joint-manager of the Offaly senior football team.
Harte and current manager Declan Kelly are expected to be endorsed as the team’s joint management on a three-year term at September’s county board meeting.
Harte, Kelly and Offaly counyy board chairman Michael Duignan attended yesterday’s game in Daingean, where defending champions Tullamore defeated Rhode by 0-8 to 0-5 as both sides progressed to the SFC’s knock-out stages.
