K/K started strong with Aideen Quinn opening the account with a point and quickly after, received a good pass from Isabella Gleeson and scored a goal. After a couple of minutes, K/K won a free that Caoimhe Quinn popped over the bar. Kinnitty responded with their first point from play shortly after. Orla Kilmartin then managed to break through Kinnitty defences and score a goal. Full forward Aideen Quinn then scored another point and got a good pass from Áine Rigney and scored a second goal. Midfielders, Lucy Lowry and Sarah Grimes, were working extremely hard to keep pumping the ball into the forward line throughout the game.

Caoimhe Quinn scored a second free and then Aideen Quinn went on a run scoring two points one after the other. Isabella Gleeson then got her point of the game after a near goal chance went awry. Aideen Quinn scored another point before Marian Bracken collected up a pass from Isabella Gleeson and scored a brilliant goal. Aideen Quinn and Orla Kilmartin scored a point each before Kinnitty scored leaving the scoreline at halftime 4-10 to 0-02.

Kinnitty started the second half strong with goalie Carol Mahon having to make some great saves on the line to prevent Kinnitty from scoring a goal. Kinnitty did manage to score a point from a free but Saorah Doyle retaliated immediately with a goal from play. K/K kept the scoring consistent during the second half with Orla Kilmartin scoring two points in a couple of minutes.
