Farney Go Rockland Siamsa Challenge! The "Farney Go Rockland Siamsa Challenge" is running for the month of March in conjunction with Seachtain na Gaeilge, Monaghan GAA , Rockland GAA and Monaghan GAA New York. Monaghan GAA Cultural Committee  challenged people from Monaghan to virtually get involved by making a video of one of the following : song -Gaeilge nó Béarla, Art , Comhrá, Local Heritage etc. As usual the very talented people in the Corduff/Raferagh area rose to the challenge with 8 videos in total recorded. First up was the very talented Hand Family with Edel, Eoin and Dylan playing "School Days Over". Edel also not only recited "Ballyconnell Fair", she also sang and played the moving "Parting Glass". The very colourful Gilsenan boys Ryan and Dylan extended a very "Happy St Patrick's Day" to everyone while singing "Ireland's Call". The super performer Orlaith O'Callaghan, who normally sings in the Raferagh Church Choir sang a Cranberries rock number "Zombies" while accompanied on guitar by her equally talented brother Cillian. Gabriella Gomez played a very moving "Raglan Road" on the harp which was magical! The Higgins sisters Holly and Charlotte who are no strangers to performing sang "Take My Hand" by Picture House as gaeilge ("Tog Mo Lámh" ) while playing guitar and fiddle. And the final video by Corduff Ladies Barbara Ward and Niamh Callan, accompained by the Higgins sisters produced a fantastic video of the facilities in Corduff while reciting "Liathróid i bPáirc An Chrócaigh". Some of these videos have been posted on Monaghan GAA and Corduff Gaels social media platforms with more to come. Corduff Gaels and Ladies would like to extend a massive congratulations and mile buiochas to gach duine for proudly representing the club.
