Awards: Best togged out team at adult level
December 16, 2011
The Bective boys always togged out well when they took to the field of play this year.
Gone are the days when teams took to the field with odd jerseys, togs and socks, when a club made up a full set of jerseys with three old ones. Nowadays clubs take to the field of play in the latest styles and fashion.
We have got used to club teams in Meath playing in the very best attire. Our team of hoganstand.com match goers have narrowed the best togged out team for this year to four.
Gaeil Colmcille always looked good this year in their white green and red Masita kit.
The team that beat them in the Intermediate final, Moynalvey, changed their sponsor and style from 2010 to great effect. On final day the intermediate champions and junior C winners looked great in their maroon and white jersey, white nicks and maroon togs.
Kilbride might be struggling at the lower end of the junior ranks but that doesn't stop the Dublin border outfit from taking to the field in great style. Their green O'Neill's jersey with red frontal hoops, white nicks and red socks always looks well on any given day. The club have also managed to put the club crest and name in Irish on their socks.
Our award goes to Bective. Ian Kearney's charges only lost one game all year and on each occassion our team saw them they always looked well. The green jersey with white trimmings, green togs and green socks looked great running out onto Pairc Tailteann for the Tailteann Cup decider and even better the day the club defeated Leinster champions Ballivor to win the Division 4 league title.
On Monday we'll pick our best come back in a championship match.
