Bective have secured their IFC status with ten points to spare over Drumbaragh at Dunganny

On your marks get set… Followers of the Meath GAA club football scene are set for a bumper four days of action with a total of twelve finals and six semi finals across the Senior, Intermediate and Junior grades down for decision.

Na Fianna and Simonstown meet at the same venue on Friday night for the right to play senior championship football in 2027. Ratoath, Castletown, Skryne, Kilcloon and Martry play hosts to five All County championship finals.

The first of the Senior, Intermediate and Junior A semi finals take place on Saturday. Navan O’Mahony’s and St. Pats get the day up and running at 1.30 in Dunsany. Down the road two and a half hours later neighbours Ratoath and Donaghmore Ashbourne meet for a place in the senior final. That night in Cortown it’s a repeat of last years JFC semi final with the meeting of St. Ballinlough and Vincents. Three more All County deciders completes another hectic day

Sunday has an early start. There will be a brilliant atmoshere at Grangegodden for the Junior B final meeting with Kilmainham and Kilmainhamwwod. Keegan Cup holders Summerhill put their title on the line against Wolfe Tones on Pitch 6 at Dunganny at 2pm. A quick dash over to Simonstown for the IFC last four meeting with Walterstown and Duleek Bellewstown and after all that if you are keen on another game get over to Skryne for the meeting of Curraha and Slane or Martry to see which of the Saints will hold onto Junior A status.

Thursday: Bective secured their Intermediate Football Championship status with ten points to spare over Drumbaragh in the IFC relegation final at Devenish Park. In a low scoring opening half Bective led 0-6 to 1-2 at the break. With six minutes remaining just three points separated the teams but a late scoring burst that yielded 1-4 sealed a comfortable win for Donal Curtis’ charges.
