Kilmesssan set up a senior hurling championship quarter final meeting with Killyon after this comfortable win over Dunderry at Pairc Tailteann.

Nickey Horan’s charges were 0-6 to 0-4 in front before Kevin Keena got in for the games first goal. Further points from Marty Mulhall, Seanie Doyle, Kris Gorman, Darren Reilly, Jack Cottrell and Keene gave the eventual winners a 1-12 to 0-5 interval lead. 

Keena had a second goal inside the opening eight minutes of the second half as Kilmessan opened up a 1-18 to 0-9 lead. Conor Leavy pulled a goal back for Dunderry on the 45th minute but Kilmessan finished in style and substitute Mark Horan capped a good display for the team in Blue and White with their third goal in the final minute.
