Trim 4-31 Dunderry 1-8
The reds opened the scoring which Stephen Coogan cancelled out from play. Trim followed up 2 frees and 4 from play before Dunderry scored again through an Evan Nolan free. Daire O Driscoll struck one over and the Dunderry support felt that the lads on the field might just stay with their opponents ,but, the town side had other ideas and went straight down the field and rattled Fagans net to set out their stall. 5 more points from play and 3 from placed ball had it at 0-3 to 1-14 before Donagh Ó Laoire notched up a point to leave it 0 - 4 to 1 -14 at the interval.
Within 4 minutes of the restart the town side had 2-1 bagged. Coogan again from play and Nolan from a free brought the black and whites total to a mere 6 points. Trim now ahead by 20. Another run of scores from Trim had the digital board almost overheating reading 0-6 to 3-23.
With nothing going right and nothing to loose Coogan hit his 3rd before Ó Laoire drove magnificently past Ennis. Trim continued to run right through Dunderry untill referee Sean Stack blew for the last time with a score board that read more like a clock than a hurling match score of 1- 08 to 4 -30.
Dunderry scorers: Donagh Ó Laoire 1 -1, Stephen Coogan 0-3, Evan Nolan 0-3 frees, Daire O Driscoll 0-1
