Cormac Costello gets the hosts up and running with seagulls aplenty at blustery Croke Park this evening. The Rebels reply through Cathail O'Mahony in the fifth minute but Lee Gannon pings over off his left to restore Dublin's advantage.

The fact that neither Con O'Callaghan nor James McCarthy are missing for Dublin today improves Cork's prospects somewhat. Two huge players who never fail to deliver.

Dublin have won 17 of the last 18 Leinster championships, including twelve-in-a-row from 2011 to 2022 inclusive. Cork arrive at this stage via the scenic route, having ousted Louth and Limerick after losing to the Kingdom.

Can Cork put it up to the Dubs or will we see another one-sided quarter-final at Croke Park this evening? The Rebels were well beaten by Kerry and will have to up their game big time to stay with Dessie Farrell's men.

Though to their first semi-final in 18 years, Derry look like a team that will take serious stopping this summer. Not just going on today's display but taking into account their three victories in Ulster, too. Clare had a memorable campaign but were outclassed today.

Derry have a great ability to adapt their tactics depending on the challenge in front of them. They have played total football today compared to the Ulster final and have been a joy to watch.

Great credit must go to Derry for their performance thus far. Their finishing has been exceptional - three brilliantly-executed goals from them in that first half. Tactically, they look very strong and their opponents have not been able to cope.

Brendan Rogers, Glass and McGuigan are causing Clare all manner of problems here and it really is hard to see the Banner County forcing their way back into this contest ... especially against a Rory Gallagher coached team!
