The games themselves.
Down v Laois. Without Kingston this is no easy task for Laois , Down to win and make Meath heart sink, Down by 3.
Galway v Kildare, draw
Meath v Cavan, we are getting a bit more adaptable to facing blanket defenses, while Cavan can actually do it a bit better id fancy Meath by 3.
Westmeath v Roscommon, i have a feeling that in Mullingar Westmeath might just do the old enemy a massive favour, Westmeath by 2

Promoted Down and Meath.

Westmeath v Roscommon - Both teams have alot to play for,but expext we will have way to much firepower up front.Ros by 7+

decky

A few posters on both sides would do well to remember this. Its beyond boring at this stage, lads getting in digs at every opportunity. I'm actually sick of seeing the word 'Meath' and I'm sure some of the more level-headed of the Royal posters on here are the same of seeing 'Roscommon'!

Fair enough decky, you're talking sense, in fairness I'm a late entrant to all this and hopefully now it's over.

Down v Laois. Draw. Would back Laois with Kingston.

Meath v Cavan. Meath to shade it.

Westmeath v Ros. Westmeath hunger to edge it. Ros consistent now with two poor displays in a row.

Galway v kildare. Galway if they are in the mood.

Expecting a big reaction from Down this weekend after our abysmal performance vs Meath, which simply wasn't good enough. The team should be highly motivated, not only for promotion, but to not lose ANOTHER game at the Marshes. Down owe the supporters a performance. And although we are no great shakes, I'm still expecting Down to beat Laois in front of what should be a big home support. Its a league final for both teams at opposite ends of the table and for different reasons.

Amazing how popular this Div 2 forum is compared to other topics. Not much going on in Div 1 or Div 3. Must be something to do with Meath being in here.

It certainly is the tightest out of all the divisons.

just 30/1 for that accumulator DD10.

Down, Meath, Roscommon & Galway for me.

That would mean Down & Roscommon to go up. Galway have messed up and missed an opportunity to go up with 2 appalling performances at home to Laois & Cavan.

div 2 analysis in the papers and here by posters suffers from overestimation of some teams and underestimation of others

a typical view is to back against laois, Cavan, Westmeath while picking Meath, Down and Galway to win
for example the Independent yesterday does not cover all outcomes only those as per the line above - the scenario for Cavans promotion doesn't figure

after 6 rounds have we not learned anything? Down are overrated as are Meath, Galway are poor
in a division of much of a muchness a 30/1 accumulator is not a long reach

oh and..... no div 2 team are much good so motivation, form on the day and ref decisions are more of a factor then they should be

Down v Laois. Down. Best team I've seen in this division, but then thats not saying much, the standard is poor.

Meath v Cavan. Cavan. Meath have a problem with Ulster teams. Won't live with Cavan's defensive football.

Westmeath v Ros. Ros have been hit and miss in this league. If they're serious about making progress they should be looking at a win here.

Galway v kildare. Kildare. Not sure why.

To be fair ned we have just beaten an Ulster team so we are learning, the only way to beat a very defensive team is not to commit too many lads forward so we won't be caught on the counter attack. This of course will probably make for a dour affair in Navan but still a very interesting one for both teams with promotion a moderate possibility.
