There's was 85k official attendance at the 54 hurling final between Wexford and Cork. Rumour has it there was a great deal more than that, two fellas inside one long coat etc.

Back in those days you could just walk into Croke Park, no pre booking tickets. Kids weren't counted as they went in with an adult. 90,000 would have been a conservative number!
