Replying To Past hurler:  "Galway have the best 19 year old hurler in Ireland, Aaron Niland and the supporting cast of Jason Rabbitte etc are top class too, all prominent with Galway senior team this year too.

Similar to Tipp last year with Darragh McCarthy, Sam O Farrell and Oisin O'Donoghue.

It makes a massive different to an un20 team to have senior county hurlers on it.

Hard to look past Galway for the un20 All Ireland."
Yes although it was hard to look past them three years ago for the Minor All-Ireland and yet they didn't win it

I suppose that'll still be in their minds and they won't want to get too far ahead of themselves

Very impressed with the commitment shown by the team in Nowlan Park yesterday.
I think we were all fearful after the Galway game that we might under perform once again against the cats. But no, this was so much better and only for a soft free at the very end we would have won.
However I feel a draw was probably a fair result.
It was a solid team performance throughout.
Roark, Carley, Ryan and Shannon were the pick of the crop and provided real leadership.
O'Brien was well marked but still managed to get the goal that brought us back into the game. He will have better days down the road at u20 and senior.
Kildare up next on Wednesday week and it may not be as easy as some might think.
If our attitude is right and we play like we did yesterday, then I believe we will get over the lillywhites with something to spare.

Replying To ElGranSenor:  "Yeah, tbh I think it's a bit like this atm...

Galway

KK, us, and Dublin

Offaly and Laois
Kildare
Meath"
Not sure Offaly are ahead of Kildare from what Ive seen of the 2 teams so far this year. Laois might be slightly ahead if at all.
And I think ourselves and Kilkenny might be slightly ahead of Dublin.
Obviously with teenagers alot will depend on how they feel on any given day......

O'Brien also did all the hard work to set up our 1st goal too.
Kildare will be big, fit, aggressive. We will have to match that. They are good at the back, but lacking star forwards. If we dont play like we did in the last 2 games we will lose.

You can be assured we are not thinking any further than the next game.

Watched WX v KK yesterday and thought WX were the better side overall and really ought to have won, though it says plenty for them that they dug out a result that looked beyond them after the KK goal. KK were impressive in how unimpressive they were. Perhaps suffering from Shefflinitis.

We would expect plenty of it from WX if we play them again, for sure. Nobody thinks we are 14 points better per the result last weekend.

Yeah, it's hard to know, tbf I'm basing some of it on how the teams fared at Minor three years ago when KK beat us by four and when we beat Dublin by one

An awful lot can change in three years though

I agree that the scoreline from last week probably didn't reflect the performance of both teams although at the same time, I feel like Galway people are trying to make sure this team don't get too far ahead of themselves, I can understand why you are doing it (And tbf, I'd probably do it too if I were from Galway) but this Galway team is undoubtedly very talented and if they play to their potential, it'll take a very good side to beat them

Never take much notice of pundits Viking, but at the end of the day, it's up to Wexford to change the narrative.

Cant really blame pundits the bookies have Galway Kilkenny and Dublin as top 3 favourites and they are never too far wrong. Have to say though if we can get off to a good start with a win on Saturday I fancy us to cause at least one shock particularly in the park.

Absolutely it is BloodandBandage. If we have a fully fit panel our 1st 2 games might be our most winnable ones. And if we win those we might be mentally in a better place to face into the Dublin game than we usually are. As usual, so many unknowns with us!

Theres a lot of if buts and maybe's but if results go as expected this weekend and we win in Newbridge and Galway beat Kilkenny in Salthill it gives us a huge incentive going to Kilkenny next week. Its all to play for

Anything can happen lads but we need to get off to a good start. I actually think the fixtures suit us better this year, delighted the Kilkenny v Wexford game is our 2nd game and not our last.

Was it that they weren't talking about us much or was it that they thought we had a poor league?

No it was a remark made when they hadn't even got to their preview of the Leinster Championship games! They all think we will beat Kildare. They seemed to be making the assumption that we will lose to Kilkenny though.

I dont think we had a poor League. We used nearly every player on the panel except lads who were injured, or sub keepers. Murphy acknowledged we had players coming back, though he didnt know who they all were! He didnt even know when Chin came back this year. Id say none of the 3 of them saw many minutes at all, if any in Murphy and O'Donoghues case, of our team this year.

I wouldn't expect anything else.

Let me guess, all 5 Munster teams might win the all Ireland and Dublin will also be in the final?
