Kerry Champions 2026?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Still a relatively young team. Tom Sullivan, Jack Barry, Mark O'Connor Stefan Okunbor, David Shaw, Shane O'Carroll and Diarmuid O'Connor pushing for starting slots . Can Kerry do back to back?

The 2nd best Kerry team of all time managed 1 back to back! And even then they had to split it between 2 different managers.

This current team is rubbish! Not a hope!

Of everyone Kerry came up against this year, Tyrone impressed me the most.
Going to enjoy the celebrations and upcoming club championships. Ciarraí abú!

Rubbish?
They were in 3 of the last 4 finals..beaten by the winners last year.
They have won 2 of the last 4.winning yesterdays by 10 points in the most competitive championship in 20 years.
They have a bunch of players who came from winning 5 minor allirelands in a row.
They are certainly not rubbish.

I'd say every Kerryman alive must be over the moon just feeling your bitterness.

Probably Kerry's sweetest victory beating three best teams in Ulster comprehensively to win.

I see Kerry are 2/1 next year and tbh I'm surprised it's not shorter.

This year has been one where any team could put it up to others but Kerry have suddenly opened up a gap to the field and I don't see them surrendering that any time soon.

New rules suit them best and they'll get stronger on 2 pointers and if goals become 4 points, god help us.

Kerrymen live off salty Dub tears, 39 to 31.

Next year will come around in its own good time. 7 teams emerged as strong contenders after the league. Meath and Monaghan's progression and Derry regrouping could see at least 10 strong contenders.
Ciarraí abú!

HUge congrats to Kerry.
That was a brilliant performance. They have adapted to the new rules quicker and better than the rest of the others.
Hope Ciarrai Mick and the rest of the genuine Kerry fans enjoy the celebrations. Denny Street will be rocking this evening.

Yesterday was a poor match. In my opinion way too one sided. Unless you are from Kerry.

Yes it's been an excellent championship but I'd say the semis and finals lacked any real drama at all.

Maybe if Donegal had scored the next score when four down, it would have made a game of it but we couldn't get near Kerry at all.

Given your free ride in Munster. You have a chance. I am sure Galway and Mayo (or Roscommon) would love a "bye" to the All Ireland quarter finals/semi finals same as you lot have in effect.

"You lot"??? Jesus Christ there are some awful gowls in this forum.
Didn't you know that the provincial championship is not the only criterion for qualifying for the All_Ireland group stage????

100% Kerry can go back to back and maybe more.

But before we start talking about that we need to see what Jack O C is going to do. If he stays, he is staying on for the purpose of doing back to back - he has nothing else to prove.

If he goes, who comes in and what impact that has.

Kerry are a good team and have the best player in the country but the Dubs will be back in the picture again next year and maybe with a comeback man ourselves.Enjoy 2025.

The 'Free Ride' notion is a strange one. It is seen as beneficial to Kerry in football, yet hindering to Kilkenny in hurling - two counties with a similar number of all Ireland titles.
