I am born an bread in waterford myself but my parents are originally from Wexford my dad use to take me to a lot of the Wexford games my first game i remember jimmy houlihan was playing and i was very young and i could never pronounce his name right i used to call him jimmy hooligan :) and after that, that got me hooked on Wexford and it's is in my blood ..I still travel to a lot of the Wexford games.. i was in the nally stand for 96 something I'll never forget, I'd still go watch the odd Waterford game but I dont get the same buzz off of it like I do supporting Wexford.. it's actually something I'm looking to do myself in the future is to go on a coaching course and someday in the future I'd love to be involved somewhere in county Wexford because in the past I know ive been one of those people who goes on Facebook and complains after a match it would be nice to get involved someway and help out as I am off for 2 months in the summer :) i dont usually comment on here much but it's great to read the comments as you know more on what's going on in wexford behind the scenes so thank you all :) juan31 (Wexford) - Posts: 172 - 18/12/2025 22:25:57 2648809 Link

I hope St Martins do the business on Sunday but I think it may be too big of a task for them. That said Ballygunner have won the last 13 Waterford Senior titles but still only won one Club All-Ireland which isn't a great return after winning 5/6 Munster titles also. Martins have zero to loose and all the pressure is on Ballygunner. In my opinion they cannot conceded the puckouts like they did against Ballyhale. Ballygunner are too good and too quick moving it through the lines. Take a chance and go 15/15 for the puck out. Make them go long and put it into a 50/50 scenario. Martins have enough good players to match them. Davidstown have a super chance of making (and winning) and All-Ireland - In reality (and no dis-respect to the other semi finalists), this game is probably the final. Kilbrittain have contested the last few finals but have only won it once. Goals win games as they say, and if Davidstown can continue to score them then they will be there or there abouts. As regards our support, maybe if lads got off their holes and came out to support the team more often then they wouldn't have to waste so much time online whinging about this lad or that lad not committing? Again best of luck to both wexford teams this weekend be great to see them reach all ireland,tough games no doubt but anything can happen on the day and there's a lot of clubs who would love to be in this position at this time of year the very best of luck to both clubs. Hard luck to Davidstown, was a very good match considering the conditions, were very brave in defeat, Kilbrittain were just as tough though and the difference in the end was that Kilbrittain were better at winning dirty ball, they'll take a lot of beating in the final Still a very good year for Davidstown and they can leave with their heads held high, think they have the ability to cause problems for others in Intermediate ElGranSenor (Wexford) - Posts: 748 - 20/12/2025 14:24:14 2648987 Link
Well done David's town on getting so far and hard luck today. I notice that the other semi final was between a Donegal team and a Sligo team. Very strange that an all ireland semi final had two teams from the same province??? No representives from the stronger counties like Antrim, Derry and Down. Also did Galway not bother competing in this competion. Even though its a low level series it shows disrespect and lack of interest supposedly by Ulster and Connaught. Of course it wasn't the same province. Sligo is most definately in Connaught. My silly mistake. Sorry to all Sligo people for putting you into Ulster. Donegal is in Ulster Magpie!!!!!! Burt won the Ulster Junior Championship beating Lavey from Derry in the final. Easkey beat Ballinasloe from Galway in the Connacht final. Joe Barrett was brilliant today I must say. Tbh the Martins looked out on their feet about 10-15 mins in to the second half. Ballygunners experience alone was always going to be a big factor . Don't know what the exact ruling is but don't think Coleman threw the ball into the goal, others were saying Ballygunner kicked it into their own goal but it looked to me as if the ball fell out of Coleman's hand and into the goal Thought in real-time that it was a penalty Ballygunner's experience really came to the fore in the second half, the Martins' now know the level they need to get to, Rathnure are a coming team though so it's no guarantee at this stage that they even got out of Wexford next year Still a great year for the Martins' all things considered ElGranSenor (Wexford) - Posts: 748 - 21/12/2025 20:08:19 2649130 Link

He was running back, the ball came out of Coleman's hand unexpectedly and hit the defender in the leg and he ended up kicking it into the net. The only question is how it came out of Coleman's hand. Did he throw it to release it, or did it just fall out? He was on the ground, so couldn't really play it so it did look like he kind of let it go. Throughout the 2nd half Ballygunner totally outplayed the Martins. Jack, Rory and Barry never got going. Joe Barrett was brilliant and would be a certainty for corner back on the county team if he commits. Ballygunner are a very clever team. They know how to win even when things are going against them which was evident in the 1st half. The Martins looked a tired outfit with 20 minutes to go and Ballygunner strolled to victory. 10 points was a poor return for 63 minutes of hurling. Still they can hold their heads up high. They beat NaFianna and Ballyhale and Naas along the way and are Leinster champions. No mean achievement.
