Replying To Ulsterchamps_32:  "You can't be posting things like that. They are great crowds at all hurling games There was much more than 8000 at the dublin vs kilkenny game between two unbeaten teams. The empty terraces and stands was just an elusion."
All the supporters went in fancy dress, dressed up as seats?,

Replying To TheFlaker:  "And here once again you prove how clueless you are. Can you explain the small crowds at hurling games in Leinster? Or the tiny crowds at hurling games in Connacht and Ulster? Or do they have different sets of playing rules to the Munster championship. Has the penny dropped yet?"
The smaller crowds in Leinster games are largely down to none of the teams really being competitive except perhaps Kilkenny, who have a pretty small population that largely doesn't come out til Finals anyway. Also Dublin hurlers never really had much support numbers wise, same as Antrim.
If Wexford and Galway had a bit of success more lads would go to the games. Over 60000 attended the last Galway v Wexford Leinster Final for example.

I know that. You don't seem to understand the point I am making to Cavan man . He keeps saying low crowds in football is because of the lack of quality.

Big crowd in Newbridge last night for Leinster minor final when Offaly beat Louth. Congrats to them. No mention of great game on RTE site.

Are you ok….? Of course it was lack of quality for years that had drove thousands away from attending games and they are very slow to return by the looks of things… The same hurling teams play each other several times with venues busting at the seams.. why..? Because of the value and entertainment they are almost certain to get every time… Football for years just put people to sleep with absolutely no atmosphere at most matches… so in a word .. yes the lack of quality has kept the crowd figures low.. Simply enough to work out really…

Yes excellent crowd, def more than attended the Louth v Laois senior game at start Championship

Offally had a great crowd with them

I see they have scheduled the All Ireland Final U20 for next Weds night in Armagh.
Surely this game should be on a weekend, I know myself and plenty others who would have went but won't be able to as it's a midweek night, kids late home for school next morning etc

That's great. So can you explain the low crowd at non Munster hurling matches ? Using your logic that you applied to low crowds in football at certain games?
