And ? Munster hurling attendances have never been a problem. At least one of the Munster teams will be in All Ireland final. Possibly 2 unless Kilkenny get there.

Didn't see an official figure for Galway Dublin but seems to be accepted at 20k+

Very small attendances at most football matches… People are just not buying into these group games… Championship won't start until we get to the knockout stages…

Cavan players are lucky they are not depending on clowns like you supporting them after a fantastic result yesterday. Why don't you go and watch some other sport?

Provincial championship finals a much better draw and interest than All Ireland group game for supporters. HQ wants to make the provincial championship a pre-season competition and they have given us three year of this group format and another two years of the Super 8s before it. Next year we'll get the Sigerson cup like format to decide who reaches the last 8 crowd wise should improve but still won't be close to the crowds that attended the Louth v Meath, Donegal v Armagh and Galway v Mayo matches the last few weekends.

You're making a good case for abolishing the Munster SFC and only having 3 teams in the Leinster SFC!!

A master class from Limerick yesterday in the hurling championship in front of a huge crowd… Probably as many at one hurling match than the whole football matches ( 12 ) put together… if not, not far off.. Some pathetic crowds at the football… I wonder why..!

Munster would have a big attendance also for a Kerry v Cork final so probably seeding required there than abolishing. Not sure what you mean by only three in Leinster?

One overlooked advantage the Munster Hurling championship has it not just the history and the evenly matches games, its the fact the dates are locked in months in advance.

Friends and family can plan occasions around them, sort out day trips or even weekends around the games.

That is a massive help to drive up attendance.

Nothing to do with it being ten times more exciting and entertaining than football…? No … The delusion continues unabated…

Not very big crowds at the Leinster SHC.
Obviously hurling must have different rules there to make it unentertaining.

You can't be posting things like that. They are great crowds at all hurling games There was much more than 8000 at the dublin vs kilkenny game between two unbeaten teams. The empty terraces and stands was just an elusion.

And here once again you prove how clueless you are. Can you explain the small crowds at hurling games in Leinster? Or the tiny crowds at hurling games in Connacht and Ulster? Or do they have different sets of playing rules to the Munster championship. Has the penny dropped yet?

Point is that football is not very entertaining all over the country… hence the very low attendance figures coupled with the fact that these group games to most people are meaningless…. Group games as well in hurling but the quality on show means people are more than willing to attend… Do you see the big difference…?
