Soccer is a truely global sport. No country owns it and you could have a kick around with people in nearly any country in the world. I know you could make an argument for the anglo-ness of rugby but definitely not soccer. Tell people in Argentina or Brazil that the sport is English.

The English players do well in club football because they have an array of international stars around them making them look good.
How do England always manage to get such easy groups and be on the easy side of the draw in these tournaments? happened the last few times, Iceland beating them in 2016 was a classic.
England are pathetic the way they play and all the talk building them up doesn't help them.
The amount of diving and play acting in soccer is getting ridiculous, they are using the video ref to help them get decisions right, they should always use it also to book people for diving and cheating and give them yellow cards and match bans for it.

It's like soap opera and rap music. You could train monkeys to play it. Don't even need training.

Still, each to their own.

You could say that about Gaelic football though, especially now. Main requirement is you are athletic. Could you really train monkeys to do what the likes of Maradonna, George Best, Zidane, Messi or Zico could do?

Your bitterness and hatred with anything to with Britain, makes most of your comments on sports like soccer, rugby, farcical and bordering on deranged.

All set up now for England imo.

They haven't played well yet, have topped their group and have a very handy route to the final.

It's coming home methinks.

If Portugal had a proper manager and someone who doesn't let a tantrum throwing striker run the team I would have more faith in them.

'Has it ever been home?' was Kasper Schmeichel's priceless response before the 2021 semi.

Top seeds get easier groups. On paper Belgium and France got easy groups but played on grass. Some so-called easy fixtures have been anything but in these Euros. Football hasn't always been good but great to see some lower ranked teams get some upsets and advance.

Winner for me along with Slovenia and Romania double 8/1.
So a 12/1 winner and 8/1 double winner is very good.

Omg such a boring predictable call......
Spice it up extra time penalties!!!
For starters Romania will rattle Netherlands, Italy v Switzerland has penalties written all over it, Turkey to ambush Austria after extra time
