Replying To Doylerwex:  "The bookies are probably right. I've always taken the view of if in doubt back Kilkenny.

Galway are a bit flakey but would still be fancied to be in the final and justified.

I think we'll be much better this year but for the first time in a long time I'm not a hundred percent on our best 15. Our panel is much better and I think more balanced, but would have the same concerns as Viking. My hope is that we perform consistently. If we do that we'll be in the mix and place at least third.

Dublin are odd. They have a great record against us and Galway so should compete.

Antrim will catch somebody. I really hope it's not us.

Don't want to write them off. But I think Carlow will be under pressure."
Flakey or not, we haven't lost to Wexford since ye were dancing at the crossroads almost 30 years ago. Time flies.

Replying To baire:  "What do you mean by flakey? Would you give us a few examples of this flakiness, please? A good few of this Galway team have an All Ireland medal and some of them have won an All Ireland with both club and county."
Not consistent enough for all the quality. They're best equipped to be challenging Limerick but haven't done that when it really counts.

We haven't played you very often. In Round Robins it's 2 draws and 2 losses for us, but you have had maybe your best team ever apart from 80s since you came into Leinster. And we were unbeaten against you between 1996 and your arrival in Leinster also if you want to quote meaningless stats as we never played you. I don't remember us playing you too often in Leinster pre Round Robin era either come to think of it. Recent years you have had the upper hand for sure, last 6 games are played 6 lost 4 drawn 2. But then you have had a team full of AI winners during that time. Last time we had teams with AI winners we beat you pretty much every time we played you.

First of all flakey and inconsistent are not the same, flakey is a derogatory term and to call any team flakey is insulting, as you well know. You should be careful with the stone throwing around your glass houses.
This Galway team are not "best equipped" to challenge Limerick. KK are consistently the best team in the Leinster championship and so far have failed to beat Limerick in an AIF. Would you call KK flakey or any of the other top teams who have failed to beat LK in the championship?

Replying To Bon:  "Dont see what Kildare have to do with a comment about Galway, but how and ever.
As anyone who knows me on this forum knows that I have no interest in Kildare whatsoever ;-)"
With a name like Bon and Kildare given as a county of origin how could anyone know you! What county are you from?

Bon and Ban are from Tipp and Limerick.

Noone does flakey and inconsistent quite as well as we do Baire. Though in my lifetime watching hurling Galway are a very close second;-)

A draw between Cats and Galway on Sunday would really make things interesting.

Kildare man born and bred for my sins. I've followed hurling religiously since I was a kid, lost all interest in Kildare GAA following the beanie Johnston farce, it was disgraceful the strokes that were pulled and shame on the Hurling club and the county board for facilitating it .

Ah ok I picked you up wrong. I assumed from your posts you had blew in there from further West! Sorry lad!

You're counting the day 'yer man' took the free off Cooney at the end as a draw!, even though he was timed on the day to be taking less time than Chin over frees.

It was a draw. Its a good thing for you the ref didn't add any more minutes or likely you would have lost. You completely fell apart in the last 20 minutes after Chin came on.

Whatever about your lifetime Viking, the Galway team from 2012 was one of the most consistent teams in the hurling championship, a team of great skill, courage and commitment, to say otherwise is just begrudgery. They happened to be competing with two of the strongest hurling teams of all time, KK and Limerick.

I've said that in many posts Baire. Just unfortunate. You left out Tipp, who had possibly their best team since the 60s in that period also.

In championship correct, but we haven't played a massive amount either.

We'd have a lot in common, except Galway have marginally more talent at the minute.

Not intended to cause offence, but it's hard to articulate this without it seeming like an insult.

Galway have a huge amount of talent and some serious physical specimens. Statistically best equipped to match Limerick on a man on man level in my opinion.

A bit on the nose but Kilkenny just have more grit hence their better record.

Galway probably lacking in belief. While Kilkenny keep finding ways to win with what isn't a great team by their standards, while Galway, and even more so Wexford keep finding ways to lose.

What do you mean by 'Statistically best' to match Limerick? What statistics?
