Cork 6/5 to beat Clare in Hurling my Best value bet of the weekend followed by Tyrone 11/10 +2. Breffni1969 (Cavan) - Posts: 510 - 19/05/2023 07:25:45 2479556 Link 0 |
I fancy Cork too. Banker has to be the Kingdom at 2/5 to beat Mayo. A 40% return over a short term investment :-)

I'm the opposite to ye guys, i have 2 or 3 Hurling match bets a year and one of them will be on Clare Sunday at evens or even 10/11. OpenStand (Limerick) - Posts: 581 - 19/05/2023 10:14:07 2479580 Link 0 |
I've gone for the draw in the prediction competition but tend to agree with everything you say. Everything points to Cork still having a very soft centre and the likely cauldron that will be Ennis will be hard for anyone to come out of given its do or die for Clare. So ofte n people point to a new Cork but I'm still not seeing enough evidence of it. The Tipp Cork game got plenty of plaudits and seems most Tipp people were happy with the draw but if there was ever a game we left behind us it was that one and I thought a number of Tipp players played really poorly which is exactly why there are four changes for Sunday and had we had less injuries I'd imagine thered have been more changes in defence So after that rant ya i agree those odds are good! tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 19/05/2023 10:33:43 2479589 Link 1 |
Bookies not giving anything away but I've gone for a couple of somewhat dodgy football bets. Donegal to beat Clare 11/10 and Carlow +3 at 11/10 to beat Limerick PoolSturgeon (Galway) - Posts: 1842 - 19/05/2023 11:41:52 2479608 Link 0 |
I thought that Cork showed a fair bit of steel to come back and get a draw against yourselves. Their two key games are undoubtedly the Clare and Limerick ones, so we will know more about them but I think they are better than last year. I marginally fancy then to win in Ennis but not going to back them though. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 1911 - 19/05/2023 11:45:34 2479609 Link 0 |
It remains to be seen in the longterm but I thought it was more got to do with Tipp blowing the game to be honest. We don't have a good record down there but conceding crazy soft goals cost us. Sunday will tell a lot where Cork are and may well prove me wrong tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 19/05/2023 13:39:39 2479647 Link 0 |
I hadn't seen the Donegal one. Unless they are completely demoralised you'd have to fancy them surely? I saw Clare on night they should have beaten Dublin but the championship is a different kettle of fish and Donegal still have the experience and players to win this. Unless they've all decamped to Boston! BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 1911 - 19/05/2023 13:43:15 2479650 Link 0 |
Chantell Cameron to beat Taylor. Saynothing (Tyrone) - Posts: 1877 - 20/05/2023 00:16:03 2479726 Link 1 |
I wish Katie Taylor well but at 36 I think that she should retire on a high. Not sure what the point of her bringing out all her lightweight belts, as neither fighter has made the lightweight weight and none of her belts are on the line tonight. If she does win some additional super-lightweight belts tonight she should call it a day after a fantastic career. Nobody would like to see her losing her pristine record or getting badly hurt, which can happen when you go up in weights sometimes. Hopefully not tonight.

Club Rossies GAA draw might be worth a flutter. On 5th June 2023 one lucky winner will be 200,000 euro richer. It could by YOU! Check it out on win200grand.com letsgetgoing (Roscommon) - Posts: 354 - 23/05/2023 08:53:37 2480739 Link 1 |
Fancy Galway to cover the 6 point handicap against Dublin. A win for Antrim at Evs and I'm very tempted to back Wexford or at least with +3. Cork are also tempting at +4 against Limerick but I might stick with a small double on the firstt wo I've mentioned. tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 23/05/2023 09:06:56 2480744 Link 0 |

Surely Westmeath after last weekends big win will be in a great place to finish the group with a win at home in Mullingar, bound to be a reasonable home crowd as well to see them play after wexford win?? The one thing i will say though is Antrim are a resolute bunch keeping the hurling flag flying . OpenStand (Limerick) - Posts: 581 - 23/05/2023 12:37:21 2480863 Link 0 |
Having seen both, i would say Antrim are the better side But Westmeath are bound to be on a high after last week and it should be cracker of a game, Hard to call. Wouldn't be having a punt. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 1911 - 23/05/2023 13:19:44 2480883 Link 0 |
Even allowing for my bias, I think that Kilkenny at 10/11 (-3 points) to beat Wexford is good value. Although the Wexford team and coaching staff should be well up for it after the disastrous result last weekend, plus, there should be good support in Wexford Park. I think Kilkenny will be too good for them. Cockney_Cat (UK) - Posts: 2319 - 23/05/2023 13:46:27 2480900 Link 0 |
Well I have Sheffield Wednesday to get promoted at 30/1. Did it before the 2nd leg play off v Peterborough when the Owls were 0-4 down. katser (Galway) - Posts: 2096 - 23/05/2023 16:00:42 2480987 Link 0 |
