It does change the round robin though. Wexford now in serious danger again of relegation. Carlow a fair bit better team than Antrim in my humble opinion and if Wexford lose that, its curtains unless Cats throw the subs on the last day again. Also gives Antrim a shout at the third spot if they beat Dublin. Thankfully for ourselves that's in the Park rather than Belfast and be confident we will beat them there, Can't recall last time they did us in Parnell - be 20 years maybe or more - and MD will have our boys focused on that as the key game now, Not slagging off Wexford by the way, We were blessed to get a draw last Sunday so there but for the Grace of God, etc, etc ... They are to Antrim, we had never beaten them in Championship before. Could have beaten them last year and definitely should have in 2003.

What a surprise a Cat saying that, your lot have beaten Wexford once last 7 years, Wexford been in top flight hurling since 1926, Division 1 League team over a decade and Leinster Champions in 2019, before today, Antrim had never beaten Wexford in the championship, they did beat Kilkenny in 43. Antrim deserved the win and Wexford are struggling and all Wexford supporters know that, but we have a proud history and all of it top flight hurling.

I suppose they need something to cheer about, the past couple of years they have watched while their neighbours across the Bann erect flags and bunting. PattyONeill (Derry) - Posts: 246 - 27/04/2024 22:01:40 2541056 Link 0 |
Don't feed the troll. Anything North of Dundalk he/she constants castigates.

Westmeath beat Wexford in Leinster last year. Wexford were a few minutes away from relegation and the Joe McDonagh, in their final game against Kilkenny last year.

Troll? A bit rich coming from you. When have I castigated anything 'North of Dundalk'?

What's that called CC? Barney will know the correct term. You know, when the mind blanks out stuff that it doesn't want to remember?

Congratulations. It's a huge win for Antrim. Some great quality scores too. Enjoy it. I'm absolutely devastated and feel like I'm in mourning today but the game was there to be won and it was a huge effort from your lads. Doylerwex (Wexford) - Posts: 3148 - 28/04/2024 09:09:37 2541111 Link 1 |

Was in the John's clubhouse after the game for a short while. It was really emphasised to me how massive yesterday was for Antrim hurling. Several different lads said it straight out.
