Season Tickets.

A wee bit of advice required. When can I gain access to my individual match tickets as part of my season ticket as I want to print off tickets for the Monaghan v Tyrone game on 30th January 2022. I'm getting a message that I can't manage my tickets.

You'll have to wait until they decide whether to lift the 5,000 limit. According to DCB this will only be days before the league starts on 29th, Restrictions due to end midnight 29th but they could just as easily extend them or even make them worse.

Numbers seem to have dropped a lot today hopefully that'll continue and they might give us an early release from restrictions.

I think issue with GAA and probably IRFU is that they would like lifting of the 5,000 limit to be brought forward so tickets can be sold to more people for the weekend of 29/30.

There must have been close to 5,000 in Parnell yesterday, more maybe, and that's in place that only holds twice that so confining bigger venues to this is just illogical.

it would be nice to know when the tickets are available for the 1st round of matches

That's the whole thrust of GAA argument. DCB have told people they are intending to renew the county pass but won't be able to do so until the increase in capacity is confirmed. They seem pretty confident but they need to know before the footballers play Armagh on Saturday 29th as the game would easily sell around 20,000 and there are more Dublin passes and season tickets than 5,000.

Same applies to other games that weekend which would attract more if they know in time. All it would take - I think - is for state to bring the change forward 24 hours. Not much to ask really.

Exactly, it's not going to make much of a difference if they remove the restriction a couple of days earlier.

It's been proved right that what the South Africans were saying about this strain being a lot milder is true that and with all vaccination they could surely pull the plug a couple of days early and let us off.

Just saw a tweet from Croke Park saying season tickets are on sale so presumably that means the 5,000 limit is going to be lifted.

If there not sorted by the first round of the league it will only be season ticket holders at the game . Limerick and wexford hurling game will have 5000 season ticket holders between both counties to be sorted first before general sale.
This will be the case for a number of fixtures in hurling and football .

It would be a simple matter of courtesy at this stage. I presume the IRFU are in a similar quandary with sales,

If situation is not clarified by early next week then ticket sales for the first rounds are going to not only deny large numbers of people a chance to see games but will make another mess of the county season ticket and pass schemes.

Ah that's good, a bit of clarity any way.

In fairness they could let us off the leashes this weekend as its not goin to make any difference to the numbers in the hospitals.

That's great news, time to get back living, we've all had too much work and not enough play at this stage.

Not hopefully they'll get rid of those stupid masks.

I think this year the Season Ticket doesnt cover all matches in the selected code, can anyone confirm this?

(ie if buy ticket only permitted into that counties fixtures, not into all national football league games as before)

I think you're right there.
Probably doesnt allow you to Club Finals either.
So 25% increase in price and covers less games.

Does the Parnells pass only cover you for club games Barney or does it cover intercounty as well?

All adult club - which is worth the price in itself, free to all divisional national league games and guaranteed ticket for every other game to be paid for at face value up to and including finals.

It's a gift. I'm no longer much of a club member other than paying sub so saves the embarrassment for all concerned to be cadging tickets over playing members!

I got you, we have a semilar scheme running down here (although I'm not sure does ours cover allireland final tickets) , it's great value if your heading to a lot of club games and plus like you say it stops you having to go cap in hand looking for a final ticket off the club.

It's great to be back to a bit of normality.
