Replying To sporto: "Aghabog will be kicking themselves after Saturday, 3 chances to win at the end of normal time and 3 wides. Drumhowan's stronger bench was the difference in extra time even with 14 men. Tom Doherty is some player, couple of brilliant 2 pointers even in the terrible conditions." Jesus Aghabog will regret it. Most of the game with an extra man and two goals handed to them.
Tom Doherty as good of a footballer in Monaghan. Kicking off left and right the other day. I'm sure John mc entee was at it licking his lips to get him back to cloghan.

Now that all the championships are over going into next year with 12 teams in both senior and intermediate are we gonna see a new format for relegation, league quarter/semi finals and championship possibly or do we keep the same with only 3/4 meaningful games all year really?
A single league with the bottom team automatically relegated and second and third bottom play off to see who joins them going down, and the top 4 going into semi finals would make the most sense? If they are going to continue with the current championship group format, is there the possibility of a back door old style championship format or straight knockout Championship could be introduced?
If we want to increase the standard of club football in the county do we look at Kerry's county championship were clubs are joining to compete against senior clubs in a separate tournament would make for great viewing I reckon with more opportunities for good junior or intermediate club players to test themselves against the so called best in the county which lots never get to experience? This could only be introduced I suppose with a straight knockout championship introduced too
