. IKeen took their 2points Stown didnt.
The scary thing is a 18yr old gets a MOTM when he's surrounded by Co Seniors, what does that mean for d rest of us??
Very impressed with the legs & conditioning of what is supposed to be a aging team."
It means the young lad had the game of his life, liable to go out the next day and get hooked by halftime as happens with all young lads, the convere belt of talent doesn't look like slowing.
Replying To HB245: "Fair play to Inniskeen. gave it everything yesterday. The 14 Scotstown men that started were made to work for every ball. It's a shame that young Sherlock missed out on starting the game for the Currin Man but such is life.
Ultimately, it came down to the sheer numbers Scotstown have yet again. Look at the subs they're bringing on compared to Inniskeen. Naturally, a little village just don't have the same quantity of quality players at their disposal that 4 parishes combined do. Their numbers 16-30 might win an Intermediate championship.
Senior club scene has officially died a death. If ever a year highlighted how unequal the playing field is, it's this year. Winning a county title without their two best outfield players is some laugh."
Don't be so bitter and follow the only team capable of bringing an all Ireland title to the county

You do realise there is only 1 parish and thats tydanvet

An all-Ireland is a bit of a fantasy in fairness considering that only for the dip into the transfer market 3 years ago, the united parish wouldn't even have gotten out of Monaghan…and that's fact…
Have to say the County final was an interesting/exciting watch as a neutral. Inniskeen looked to run out of legs just and thats when Scotstown took control. Them young lads have to get huge respect. They have lit a fire in that Scotstown team and really brought a new dimension to their play.
Maguire, Mallon, Connolly and Murray are all top players and have all it takes to be top senior players for years to come. Inniskeen definitely put up a good fight and I thought were going to do it with a few mins left in normal time but it wasn't to be. I wouldn't of begrudged Inniskeen a title as they have been knocking for a good few years now.
Can't see McEntee staying around much longer in Inniskeen. Anyone have any news on this end?
Scotstown v The Glenties now shall be a cracker in clones I believe.

Scotstown should comfortably dispose of Naomh Conaill without Ciaran Thompson. Can't see anyone laying a glove on them until an Ulster final.
Feel the county board are letting the likes of scotstown and carrick down as they prepare for Ulster. Surely scotstown would rather two weeks to prepare after a hard game in the final going to extra time but they now have to play a league final against magheracloone this weekend. That game should have been played long ago. Same goes for Carrick playing blaney Friday night
thought it interesting that rory beggan won them the semi with loads of out field runs and scores. he only got 1x 2pointer in the final and wasn't up the field much at all....similarly Kieran hughes who was excellent in extra time. I wonder why he didnt simply win it for them earlier on when he was just tipping about in defence...my guess is he was waiting in the long grass for inniskeen to get leggy...they obviously respected inniskeen a bit more than clontibret
conor mccarthy was the biggest difference imo. shouldve won it for them in normal time, I thought it was a free to him towards the end but anyway. fair play to inniskeen - was a great and entertaining game
some really good talent on display on sunday with the two best teams going at it and as someone already said it was a good advertisement for monaghan football
