Are Clubs that stupid to throw money to managers in December? Rediculous!

No floodlights been put into Cusack Park incase they would have to have games in it and there pitch would get destroyed …. clever stunt that's why they use clubs doesn't matter about theirs !!! They doing a bit of painting in the dressing rooms .. toilets been sorted I think and lighting but not floodlights

Don't forget that Cusack was made a vape free zone this year.

Lack of games, there's been a multitude of matches in the park since January.

I wouldn't be a big fan of the board but telling us there arent games in Cusack is a just plain wrong. Its in bad shape because there are too many games on it.Unlike Meath or Offaly who play a lot of their big hurling games in Trim and Birr we don't have that luxury.Longford,Cavan and Roscommon don't have much hurling so the situation is different.

4 home games for Westmeath in division 2 next year. We need all the help we can get next season. A lot of local derbies but winning three home games would probably be enough, tall order with all the outgoings

Hurling championship is definitely a bigger money spinner for our county board at the minute, move the football outside Cusack I say

I am optimistic about the year ahead, I think roscommon and maybe cork/louth are a bit ahead of everyone else in league group. We have a extremely hard opener in louth but I do not fear the group. I believe westmeath will stay up, with a new manager that will be doing everything possible to prove himself as an intercounty manager. Club football is good in westmeath and plenty of talented players for mcCabe to pick from

Hope I'm wrong but I can't see it. I think we need to win at least three matches and I'm not sure we'll be favorites in any game there!

I think we beat Louth-Cavan and Meath at home-these teams are not great at the moment and if we are really at our best thete is no reason we cannot beat them

i think the bookies have meath and down favourites for relegation. meath will probably be underdogs in every game in the league which will suit them, although i have a feeling one of either down or meath will escape relegation dragging someone else into it. I think louth bubble might burst

3 out of 8 quarter finalists in Leinster Senior Schools are Westmeath schools. Marist play Moate and CBS home to Colaiste Eoin next week

The schools football is where its at now for excitement. Moate game despite conditions was very good. Marist had a great win over a strong pats team and the free scoring marys were comprehensive winners. Looking forward to the moate v narist game, fancy marist, who will then play winners of Kildale Derby between naas and athy I think. Mary's should have enough for col eoin and will probably play a Midlands Derby against tullamore. Are dates fixed yet?
