The new Tyrrellspass manager has been some acquisition. He's good on the line with no histrionics and he's done an incredible job. Tonight for different reasons they had no Ger Egan, Dean McNicholas, Denis Glennon, David Glennon and other players stepped away earlier in year. I'd say staying in section A was the main objective at the start of the year and their league form was patchy. Bar the Kinnegad match in the championship they really have performed exceptionally well. Will be rank outsiders versus Loman's but they're in the last four on merit

Fair play Tyrellpass but you worried how poor the championship is like seeing Caulry getting into a semi last year and now Tyrellpass overall teams are poor.

As long as deal with there then you won't situation longford mess can't go back quarters played as much as I feel for carrickedmond in that case ref admitted case and mulinalaghta won the match.

The way it has been resolved and teams affected is a shame and very messy. Won't go down fighting

Wording was poor. Meant to say Tpass were comfortably the better side in the final quarter 1-05 to 0-02

Exactly. Said with 20 to go that whoever gets a goal wins it. Tyrrellspass goal came directly from Shamrocks goal chance missed at the other end. Small margins. After Lomans there is very little between the next 6 or 7 teams.

Rosemount VS Miltown

Game of the year yesterday, Multy were brilliant. Tubberclair played well also but Multy should have won it in extra time when Wallace missed an easy free. Mark Reynolds played brilliant when he came on and was the main threat for Multy after Wallace and McGivney.

Dead on there. Shamrocks missed goal chances and were two up when a couple of calls went against them. But some of the points kicked by Tpass were outrageous from all angles. Shamrocks match against Malachys the previous Sunday probably were their undoing..too easy.

Tubberclair looked likelier winners in extra time when they led by two points but indiscipline proved costly. Playing with 13 men was nearly impossible task after 70-75 mins had taken its toll. Tubberclair have yet to produce their displays of two years ago when they drew the Intermediate final. Possibly beneficial for the club long term with a good number of top class minors eligible for adult football next year and Intermediate Section A might be less pressured than Senior section B. Interesting that two of the standout football performances over the weekend were by two county hurlers, Niall Mitchell was the key man in his side's win and Peter Clarke was excellent for Tyrrellspass yesterday.

Mitchell was great Saturday and David O'Reilly was good for Rosemount in the earlier Saturday game also, although St Marys were very poor

Id add the Number 9 for Rosemount- Think his name is David O Reilly- Plays like Sean Kelly of Galway- Very good baller.

To say Tubberclair haven't reached the heights of two years ago may or may not be true. The overall standard of Intermediate football may be higher than two years ago. Tubberclair were beaten by a point in the semi final last year by St. Malachys who won the final. They lost the quarter final this year to Multyfarnham on penalties. They beat Garrycastle , drew with Milltown and lost by two points to Rosemount who are all semi finalists. The Tubberclair team which started yesterday had seven changes from the team which started the Intermediate final two years ago. Any club that has that many changes and remain competitive in any grade are doing well. Yesterdays game was terrific. Not just for drama and excitement but for the quality of football played. Great scores, blocking , high fielding and great attacking football. I wouldn't agree with the comment that Multy were brilliant and Tubberclair good. Multy had an extra player for half an hour and two extra for the last ten minutes of extra time. Tubberclair are in the U - 20 Div 1 semi final and the minor Div 1 semi final for the third year in a row. Only two of the U -20 team started yesterday. If they plan properly and hold on to these talented young lads they will be a very good team in a few years, As claretandblue said they might be better off not going to senior for a couple more years.

Half an hour is an exaggeration but agree that Tubberclair should have a big future.
