Replying To ForeverBlue2:  "Fenton was silly to run after the Derry player in the first place… not something I have seen him do before… He should have been smart and waited his chance and not be so obvious about it… The red was deserved and the ball should have been thrown up instead of giving Dublin the fee in further up the field… poor referring again"
Are you a Ref or do you intend volunteering your services as a Ref?

What is it to you…? Do you honestly think the standard of refereeing is up to scratch… they are getting paid you know…. The standard of refereeing at County level ( football especially ) is appalling and then you go down to club level it gets worse… I blame the GAA more so than the individuals for this total mess….

It's strongest team he has. Was worried that one or two of those named mightn't have been fit or ready. No Whiteley who i assume must be injured? Big task for Conor Donohe at chb. Great potential in that lad. If defence has good day, Wexford will struggle for scores again.

Good on paper but just never clicked so will come down to them pulling out their biggest performance for two years. Biggest game of the year probably. Win and they have a good chance of making the qualifiers. Lose and its probably another two losses and need to beat Antrim and Carlow to stay in championship.

Super comeback.

Lots of character, belief and pride in the jersey shown.
Cant ask for much more than that tbh.
They never gave up or threw in the towel.

Delighted for them.

Must build on this now.

Kilkenny and Galway will be a different proposition but hopefully this result will bring some extra confidence to the squad.

Wasn't there but that character and fight seems to have been key, and has been missing since the Clare hammering.

Realistically Dublin and Wexford's year might come down to who hammers Antrim and Carlow. Neither a foregone conclusion. And either hope to get a result against the big two or at least avoid a hammering at their hands.

At least we have something to fight for now. Carlow down there and Wexford in Belfast are potential banana skins for both. Dublin won comfortably enough last year down there but they were by no means disgraced against Galway. Tough side with one of best free taking forwards in country in Kavanagh, He kept them in it last year and if Dublin are as sloppy in that department as they seemed to have been in Wexford, then it might be close.

We need to baton down the hatches at the back - goal concessions have been a problem v the likes of Kilkenny and co.

Hopefully the manner of the draw v Wexford will give the lads extra confidence.

Last nights Leinster u20 result goes to show that Dublin at underage are no world beaters by any stretch.
Other arguments about Dublin seem hold very little water at underage, or so it would appear. ;o)

Many congrats to the Louth lads. Super win.

On the other side of the draw a Meath team missing 3 top players did very well to knock out the All Ireland champions, Kildare.
Meath were All Ireland champions at Minor 3 years ago, so Louth will be up against it in the Leinster final.
Best of luck to both teams.

For all the Senior Football success Dublin have had in football, it always surprises me how we are not winning more at underage.

And dont get me started on the lack of success for the Dublin Hurlers. ;o(
Those days under Anthony Daly are such a distant memory unfortunately.
I just hope the draw v Wexford was not a flash in the pan....

Bench is very strong also.

Hurlers in much stronger position after first two games than many of us expected or hoped. Largely due to Wexford's misfortunes but you take what you get.

A win against Antrim would most likely ensure that we get the third spot and another quarter final. Chances of reaching the final probably depend on what happens between the rest, Can't realistically see us beating either Galway or Kilkenny and really you'd be hoping that Galway beat Kilkenny today so that Kilkenny need a win against Wexford maybe in the last game.

Maths aside, Dublin have not been good. Backs are actually hurling well even with the bizarre throwing of Eoghan around the place, Which is a reflection of how bad - lets be honest - the forwards have been and show no signs of improving much. What they do have going for them is tenacity and commitment to the jersey, so not going to be overly harsh. Had they not had that we'd be staring relegation in the face.

Antrim game is crucial now and I expect that having them in Parnell and the proper focus now will ensure a win there. Anything after that is a bonus.

The Antrim game is a Must Win for Dublin.

With the way results are going, nothing but a win will do, Barney.

Dublin Senior Hurlers v Antrim at Parnell Park at 4pm on Sat, should be a great atmosphere.

Strong 15 but don't think that's the starting 15. Howard will likely start with Lahiff in the middle and Jamesie or Murphy on the bench. I still think Paddy is a starter. He has too much fire power to be warming the bench.

Looking forward to it. Parnell factor might be crucial. I think they will win, but not so sure that they have fore power to build up the sort of scoring difference that might be crucial which of ourselves or Wexford takes the third spot, assuming of course no more surprises.

Ross McGarry, Bugler, Theo, Lorcan, Killian also on the subs bench.

Lee should be back soon, for the Group stages.

Looks like a full strength squad at last for the Hurlers, Barney.

Strong team, if he gets them all hurling in their right positions!

I assume Dáire is injured to be on bench? He was best player in my eyes against Carlow. Not sure about Eoghan in half backs with emphasis on him coming forward, Actual forwards need to be stepping up hugely on year and above all to be scoring goals.

They need a strong start and not to give Antrim a sniff of it as they thrive in dog fights.
