Agree on the Crokes and Raharney game. Think the other 2 will be a good bit closer though I'd be agreeing with the results.

Their forward line is incredible for a club team. 4 of the 6 who lined out in the county final were Adrian Mullen, TJ Reid, Colin Fennelly and Eoin Cody, all top class intercounty forwards. The other 2 were Eoin Reid who also hurled with the county and Cuddihy who I believe had played underage for Kilkenny.
To think that this forward line also once included a certain H Shefflin."
Its frightening stuff, I wouldn't like to be a defender!!

I'm sticking my neck out here, but I think Ballyhale Shamrocks will win Leinster with ease.
This year's Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship will prove to have been tougher.
I think O'Loughlin Gaels, who lost to BS 3-19 to 3-15 in the KK final, would win this year's Leinster if they replaced BS in it.

Think Ballyhale will win it too. And yes O Loughlin Gaels and another few Kilkenny clubs would be in with a great shout too if they have got out of Kilkenny. Tbh there'd be a couple of Dublin clubs would have at least as good a chance of winning it as Crokes too. Still want an MLR Rapps final though; )

Ballyhale are 4/9 so it's not exactly Foin Avon!

They most likely will win it with a bit in hand.

3 inter-county. Fennelly is gone and from what I have seen of him his contribution to Ballyhale is no where near what it was. I think I heard he hasnt scored in the last few games and didnt look physically fit in the KK final either. That's not me running him down as a player as he has had some career but in my opinion hes no where near inter county standard these days.
I'm also not sure Ballyhale are as formidable as they were but still deservedly favs for the All Ireland - if that makes any sense! Don't be surprised to see them getting caught in Leinster.

I for one would be very surprised if Ballyhale get caught in Leinster.

Not only do they have great forwards, they have Joey Holden, Darren Mullen and Evan Shefflin in defence who are all very good club hurlers.

It will take a very very good team to beat them.

It was. Second year champions maybe had them more focused on the provincials.

Crokes/Raharney will be interesting. Crokes maybe coming from a stronger championship and having likes of Ronan but wouldn't be taking the 1/4.

2nd year champions yes, but C/B didn't have a Leinster campaign from last year's county title (which was actually this year), to learn from.
They were comfortable winners in the end. I thought Rapp looked like a very light team. They looked a very different outfit from the one I saw rack up a big score in the Wexford final. Admittedly that was quite some time ago and in very different playing conditions.

Crokes could have won that by 30 points. Hard to make anything of it. Hayes is a monster on his day.

You look at the teams left in the leinster club and champships and on paper they are light years ahead of any potential opponents. Not only will it take a great team to beat them, but it will take Ballyhale to misfire completely. I can't see that happening.

I thought the 19 points flattered Crokes today.

19 points in no way flattered Crokes. They were utterly dominant in all sectors, in a different league conditioning wise, shot 10-12 wides, took off full back, midfielder and key forward with 15 mins left and looked likely to score goals at any time. Raharney depended on frees for majority of scores and the gap between the sides was very worrying from a Westmeath perspective.

Raharney had several goal chances & failed to take any. Goalie let one in over his head at the finish. Crokes were clinical with their goal chances.

Agreed they are a top class team and I wouldnt bet against them but just feel this is the year they'll get caught. They had fierce issues trying to contain Paddy Deegan who is a long way off being an inter county standard forward. Clough Ballacolla are also a very strong team on paper. It was tough conditions for them on Saturday so they'll take any win.
Having said that and having seen most of the teams - Thomas' or Ballgunner will be the likely AI winners if Ballyhale are beaten. Munster teams have a shocking recent record in the club cship and its hard to see anyone outside Ballygunner changing that.

Is the standard of Wexford club hurling as low as it looked the last day? Clough Ballacola are a good team tbf but it didn't look like they had to overly strain themselves. Even with the long break it was a poor, especially when you see how Ballygunner dealt with and how Loughmore dealt with the dual thing so can't see either of those problems explaining how poor the wexford champs have been for a long time, since Oularth finished up as a force, what a great club team they were too.

Wexford championship is very even with at least 6 teams in the frame to win it, Rapps actually didn't get out of the group last year although they lost twice narrowly in a group of 3 to the 2 eventual finalists, ended up winning the football championship subsequently, they were lucky to win the Wexford semi final this year after been behind for about 56 or 57 mins. They have alot of players who play 3 sports with a couple of rugby players and a good few playing junior soccer, a few of there players were playing soccer at 10 yesterday morning after the hurling match.

Oulart are 1 of only 2 sole hurling clubs in Wexford, actually got relegated this year with alot of main players now moved on, I know they've huge regrets losing the 2016 AL semi against Na Pairsaigh who were at there peak, looking back they were the 2 strongest in the competition that year by a long way.

Also think there very light particularly in the forward line and that's far from ideal this time of year.
