I've said it before and I'll say it again, McGrath is going to get someone hurt with the way he refs' the game

Replying To Claretandblue:  "Of course, Pollard as previous poster pointed out are a lot closer to relegation than competing for top three spot. They're missing Charlie McCormack and Andrew Dermody and David Devine has emigrated and their strength in depth is limited. First game in Cusack today was fantastic stuff, Mick and Brendan Murtagh have done great work with Clonkill, they still need to beat the Gaels to qualify but beating Raharney with a young team and minus Darragh Egerton is great confidence boost. Luke Loughlin will be sought after by Bulfin and new football manager, he was some threat today. Oisin Loughlin was immense and Niall Mitchell. Clonkill's younger players had no fear. John Shaw won't be too worried apart from concession of four goals. Castletown were missing key players and still too good for the Gaels, Peter Clarke and Niall O' Brien were excellent and Aaron Glennon in defence. The Gaels only scored 2-10 including a consolation late penalty and replaced three or four of their forwards. The Gaels looked a long way off championship contenders today."
Thought Clonkill were excellent, as you say Luke and Oisin Loughlin and Mitchell were superb. I also thought Peadar Scally was hugely influential throughout the game.
They will take great confidence from this and if they could get Egerton and Holding back in they'll take some stopping.
Castletown too strong for the Gaels and missing Clavin, O'Reilly and Maxwell.
Gaels, Castletown, Raharney and Clonkill all on 4 pts. Its wide open now.

Can't see Gaels doing maybe wrong but who knows

It's wide open with four teams contesting three spots, Castletown have Plunketts and Pollard to play so favourites to get to eight points, Raharney have the Gaels and Pollard so tougher task, The Gaels have Raharney and Clonkill, Clonkill have Plunketts and the Gaels. Possibility that one team on six points will be eliminated. Clonkill's win today will boost confidence and their younger players have shown well so far, their injury situation could derail them, Darragh Egerton, Ciaran Nooney, Liam Moran and Andrew Shaw all injured, they will beat Plunketts in next round and that's four weeks until vital game against the Gaels. Raharney would hope to have Cormac and Joey Boyle back shortly. The three adult hurling championships are hard to call, Senior B is incredibly tight and Brownstown have struggled to justify favourites tag in intermediate with Southern Gaels and Turin hugely competitive.

Very disappointed in our boys. Complete lack of a threat upfront

Thought Clonkill were very good. Missing a few bodies aswel.

Castletown without the few lads even looked strong…

It's as wide open as it's been in a long time?

Is Eoin Daly carrying an injury or what's the story there? He was one of ye're main players last year and excellent in county final.

Standard in quite a few of the senior championship matches has been very good this year among the top 4 clubs. Raharney vs Castletown, Castletown vs Clonkill, Clonkill vs Raharney, The Gaels vs Raharney and Clonkill in the final two rounds promises to be both lively with qualification for the final or semi final at stake, there were other promising performances over the weekend in Intermediate and Senior B, Luke Moore is very impressive for Ringtown, good to see championships where the winners are far from predictable, Cullion have only one point from three matches but were unlucky against Crookedwood, started badly against Delvin and finished impressively and drew with Ringtown on Friday night. They need to win versus Fr. Dalton's and Raharney to have any chance of qualification but teams in knockout stages would be wary of them.

I said it before write clonkill off at your peril. What a complete performance, right from price in goals up to jordy smyth. Raharney could not handle the precision and speed of the clonkill puck out, they built so many attacks from quick puck outs, young Murphy done an amazing job on killian, probably my man of the match, Castletown really at a canter it must be said easily dispatched the Gaels with a late goal taking the bad look of it, Niall amazing again showing his talent time after time with possibly the most in form hurler o reilly to get back for the latter stages a joy to watch in full flight, going by the weekends games I forecast Castletown to win, raharney to beat clonkill in a semi final, however great to see clonkills young guns showing potential, the off the ball running, stick passing and playing for each other really was a joy to watch,
I'm sure Bulfin has a few lads on his radar from that clonkill team Peadar Scally and a few more
Loughlin's goal possibly the best ever score taken in Cusack park by any hurler,

Hasn't been mentioned here yet as it was announced in the midst of the club action over the weekend, but thoughts on Brendan McKeogh being announced as minor manager?
I think it's a shrewd appointment, he'll bring great passion and enthusiasm. He knows the underage scene in the county inside out and there's plenty of talent there of the u15s and u16s this year for him to work with.
Best of luck to him.

A bit dramatic, I suppose you want a stop start game?

I think Raharney & Castletown will account for their last 2 games and move to 8 points a piece. With the last game between LLG and Clonkill deciding on the positions, if clonkill win it will make things interesting as a mini league will be created between the 3 teams on 8 to decide who qualifies, if LLG win, rahareny will qualify direct with LLG & CTG playing in a semi final

Does it come down to score difference if 2 land on 8 and head to head if 3 land on 8 points? Youd fancy castletown to try put up big scores on plunketts and pollard.

The scoring difference in the matches between the clubs involved if it's three teams involved. Clonkill two up on Raharney, Castletown seven up on Clonkill, Raharney two up on Castletown.

No Claret is right, it's the scoring difference in the games between CTG, Raharney & Clonkill, which I believe is CTG +5, Raharney are level (beat CTG by 2 but we're beaten by Clonkill by 2) and Clonkill are on -5.

Gaels potentially to put either Raharney or clonkill out in one of their last 2 games to negate the necessity of a 3 way table and put Castletown straight to county final, we've seeen flashes in the pan of their forwards this year

When did you see flashes of their forwards? Against what opposition? Last Sunday's tally of 2-10 was the lowest I'm certain between the nine matches played in the three major hurling championships last weekend.
