We will have to wait and see. Bulfin mentioned him in his interview, he would be an immediate starter next season in the full forward line.

Talk about hyping a young lad up to the moon, no chance he is an immediate starter

Agree, world of difference playing club versus county, obviously he's a young lad with potential but he's also had injury problems and needs to be nurtured carefully.

Not an immediate starter but if he concentrated on hurling he would improve hugely

Great potential but needs to work at it

Agree, he's a good lad but has not done near enough at club or under 20 level yet to be considered a definite starter. Dheen from Castlepollard

Lads I don't know the lad personally but I was in Clonkill this morning to see my nephew with development u 14 panel v Dublin but I've to commend Kevin O'Brien he was with the team this morning and his organisation of the near 40 lads and he played every one of them. No that it matters but to beat Dublin and they way he had westmeath playing and setting up was very impressive. Obviously hasn't been easy for him last few weeks but the young lads think the world of him. I asked my nephew this morning after the game if he enjoyed it and he said he loves it. The training is class... Just thought credit where credits due.

He is an excellent coach and great to have him with these young lads.
Plenty of talent between the u14s and the u15s, the u16s aren't too shabby either.
Hopefully they can all be looked after right up through minor and u20.

Ah that's lovely in fairness

We are lucky to have lads like him involved…

Some talented groups coming through from 14-16

The new manager will have Clonkill's David O'Reilly as his defensive coach, while Clare's Fergal Lynch is the forwards coach and Michael Frawley, who worked with former Westmeath senior hurling manager Shane O'Brien, is the strength and conditioning coach.

Seemingly one of his management team is it now part of set up. Interesting

Have it on good account that Fergal Lynch isn't and in fact never was on this management ticket

He is going to be joining up with another county not too far from us as a coach

Didn't make this game but understand young Raleigh hurled at centre back. He's a gifted forward so there must be some talented forwards with this group if they can afford to have him play in the half backline.
Great to have the likes of Kevin O'Brien, Adrian Moran and Johnny Greville working with our development squads. You can see the difference it's making along with the super contribution from the Stones brothers.

Purely theoretical but let's say if a senior amalgamation of Plunkets and cullion was formed how would they fair in the Senior A grade or even if you threw crooked wood into the mix also. Just a bit of fun and something that for some reason popped into my head today. As they'd have plenty of quality all over the park so would they be able to put it upto the Castletown and raharneys of this world

Is he not centre back because it's generally regarded as the key position in hurling and therefore play best player there? Not sure it means we have six gifted forwards, young Raleigh likely to score as much from centre back as centre forward given his prodigious striking.

Good man. Sure maybe send on your suggested starting lineup to the management or post it here for them. I'm sure they'll love your insights and even cede to your greater knowledge of their players.

Oh yeah well of course, it's the key position on the pitch and he is arguably the best player on the team.
He is an excellent forward too. How did the forwards fair vs Dublin? Obviously done well to win

Was at the game Saturday and Raleigh was Westmeaths top scorer, plenty of talent on show all around and a good win

Correct, he set up a lot and hit the frees. Outstanding, he played midfield for good portion of the game.

I think ud need 2 Referees for that, one on the pitch and another one in the dressing room.
