Looking forward to the hurlers getting back in the saddle also on Sunday. Freethinker (Wicklow) - Posts: 2222 - 16/04/2026 21:23:34 2666847 Link 0 |

Although I'm more interested in football I wish our improving hurling team well, and I don't see the harm in playing a double header. It will be an even rarer experience for the hurlers but one they will benefit from. I find it hard to imagine there will be a big crowd coming down from Derry so I don't see the fixture putting much extra pressure on organisers, who already had a taste of a Dublin game last year. Ha , right spot for Christy ring , leave the footballers playing against one of the giants of GAA in headquarters and maybe add a bit of razzmatazz with music before or at halftime. Anyway it's done now good luck to both teams up Wicklow.
