Clarets beat St Joes in the All Britain play off. As others have said, Clarets will be more than at home in intermediate next year.

Think with the settled panel they've got they were always going to be a good bet to win today. Perhaps suffering less of the post championship hangover that most other London clubs often have.

Will be really interested to see how they get on in the All Britain. Is it Sean Macs they play in the SF?

Replying To BaldyBadger:  "This is typical ignorance by the fixtures committee. Unfortunately, if you are not playing in northwest London, you will be treated this way. How anybody can think it's acceptable for this to happen is staggering. First and foremost, there is likely to be players that would play the reserve championship with no clash, but even if this was not the case, the logistics of managing two matches at the same time for the club is impossible. How can the Secretary sign both team sheets for example."
I know it looks bad them playing the games at the same time but to be honest, even if they were at different times it wouldn't make a difference. If the hurlers were on at 1pm at Greenford and the footballers at 4pm at Ruislip, there'd still be no way any could play both. They'd have to be at the same location or on different days for players to play both and there may be good reasons why that couldn't happen. Speaking to a McCurtains man the weekend and he wasn't bothered by it.

Whats the craic now with Kilburn also having the B team which plays in intermediate? Can they still field that team in the intermediate championship?

Heartbreak for Towers, we had all written them off before the NLS game, Kiernans will be relieved to have scrapped through, will need to improve for the final. Fulham seem to be over their NLS hiccup, TCG had been looking good earlier in the year but seem to have failed to kick on.
Clarets good value for their win Sat, good blend of youth and experience, will fancy their chances at intermediate next year, the All Britain is bonus territory for them this year. Joes will have work to do for next year if they are to be ready for the big step up to Senior. Easy win for Harlseden in the Junior league, Fulham and Kiernans through in reserves, so double header in Ruislip on Sunday.
Kilburn down in the hurling, as stated earlier would have been unthinkable a few years ago, maybe a chance to rebuild at intermediate, but wont be east with Treacys having improved in the last couple of years. Emmetts won well in the end but McCurtains played nearly all the game with 14 after an early sending off, kept it competitive for the first half.
Speaking of McCurtains, likewise spoke to a few of them at the weekend, were not happy with the fixtures and had requested that one game got refixed, issue wasn't with dual players, but rather that many of them wanted to attend both games. Added to this their camoige team had a semi final in Goodmayes on Sat also.

Fair play to the members at TMC. Big club with teams across sports and grades, consistently turn out despite having to probably travel the furthest for games (appreciate they do play a few games out at Goodmayes).

Satuday 16th October 2021
LGFA Junior Championship Final - Ruislip 10am - Dulwich Harps v Taras - Tara's by 2
LGFA Intermediate Championship Final - Ruislip 12pm - Parnells v Holloway - Parnells by 8
Senior Hurling Championship Semi Final 2 - Ruislip 1.30pm - St Gabriels v Fr Murphys - Gabriels to come out on top and win by 5.
PHL Hydraulics Murphy Cup Final - Ruislip 3pm -St Josephs v Parnells - Joes to win by 10, Parnells season finished long ago and Joes will have the match sharpness on them.
Senior Football Championship Relegation Play Off - Greenford P1 2.30pm - Thomas McCurtains v Neasden Gaels - Will Neasden even field? Either way Tommy Macs to win by 15. A decent team who don't deserve to be in a relegation play off if ti wasnt for the new system this year. Neasden getting their just rewards for the galactico era. A reminder to all other clubs!

Sunday 17th October 2021
Reserve Football Championship Final - Ruislip 12.30pm Kiernans v Fulham - hard to know what the team's will be for this. Will go with Fulham as they are defending Reserve champions, by 3.

Senior Football Championship Final - Ruislip 2pm - Kiernans v Fulham - Fulham have looked the more impressive in the championship so far, tho the NLS draw was a surprise you could put down to complacency. Kiernans have found a habit of coming out on top in tight matches so far without looking impressive and seem to play better against their big rivals of TCG and Fulham yet do poorly against the team their expected to beat . The KKG defeat was a shock but they should really have won that by 10 if they had their shooting boots on. Think Fulham have the better forwards and bench and that will be enough to edge a tight game on the day by 1 or even AET.

Ah lads, 6 red cards, brawling in the tunnel before throw in and at half time...3 black cards too! Gutted I never made it down. Was it that wild? Feel for the ref (without knowing many details except a load of WhatsApp stuff coming through) having to deal with that. Sounds like there'll be repercussions anyway

Didn't know about any trouble before throw in but it kicked off massively at half time. The usual few jostles as they came off, but then one or two heavier challenges and it escalated very quickly. I was up behind the tunnel so couldn't see down into it, but given the way everyone else was still crowding over to look it carried on for a good five minutes and involved the outside stewards they have there these days to try and restore order. The interval took the best part of half an hour as, presumably, everyone was given a chance to calm down.

The players then came out and lined out for the throw in. The ref strolls over to the middle then points to various players and calls five over to him. Gives them all a talking to then waved the red card to all of them, so off they went. It got a bit nasty for a while, with clashes between various pairs across the pitch off the ball, and the black cards started coming. At one point it was 10 v 12. The sixth red card was late on for another off the ball incident. Even before the half time nonsense the Fulham manager was failing to either win friends or influence people, and he still tried to have a go at the ref as he came off the pitch. Fortunately the stewards had gone on to to make sure he got into the tunnel OK.

It could even have gone to a replay at the death. Kiernan's were three up and looking for a fourth insurance point, but hit the post twice. The ball ended up at their end and after a scramble in the box, a shot beat the keeper but was just stopped on the line by a defender. The clearance went to a team mate, straight up the park, over the bar for that fourth point, and the ref blew the whistle.

No trouble before throw in. Kiernans were out at leat ten minutes before Fulham, where do these stories come from. Bar HT you wouldn't describe the game as dirty at all. Second half there was a lot of pulling and dragging, Fulham lost the head in second half and got a couple of deserved black cards and a red, Kiernans blacks were harsh enough.
Kiernans well worthy for the win but Fulham pushed them right to the end. Fulham will probably moan about the ref but they did themselves no favours on the line, constantly pressurising the referee and linesmen.

Trouble before the game was mentioned on a WhatsApp group, but probably just a rumour as no one else seems to have seen anything.

Yes heard behaviour on the sideline wasn't great and not sure how they can blame the ref

Congrats to Kiernans anyway. Things looking good for them with the new pitch, plenty of underage teams etc

Kiernans well worthy of their win, the space in the second half suited their forwards. Fulham almost crawled them back and would have won only for their ill discipline. Reds after HT may have been harsh but surely everyone knows the black card rule by now.

Well done to Kiernans, one of the best run clubs in London, if they get planning permission for their club house will only get stronger, and the Junior team is a good stepping stone to senior for their young London born players, something TCG have used well. In the Hurling as expected Gabriels too strong for Murphys, should be a cracking final next weekend v Emmetts. Jamie Clark couldn't save Neasden from relegation on Saturday, interesting to see if they go for a quick fix next year or look to rebuild the club.

In the All Britian, wins for Brendans (Lancs) , Juds (Glo) and Sean Macs (Wark), Clarets will now play Sean Macs.

Well yesterdays final was mad! Fair play to Kiernans, congrats on the win. Fulham won't be happy with the red cards - Mulvey in particular was irate afterwards! Good to see a change of winners though and certainly senior championship more open than in previous seasons, Towers will be wondering what if surely?

Neasden and the galactico project crashed and burned as expected. Delighted to see a well run club like McCurtains to confirm them to relegation, They've built themselves into an established Senior club the right way in comparision to Neasden.

Best of luck to Clarets in the all britain, won't be easy but theyve nothing to lose

Fulham shouldn't have too much to complain about, in their two most recent championships they got over the line as a result of some very generous refereeing decisions in each final. You'd think they'd have a bit more cop on on twitter also, embarrassing carry on. In hindsight the ref probably boxed himself in by giving out all the reds at half time as he left himself open if there was any hassle in second half, the fourth red was the umpires call.
Difficult job to do but they're not helped by some of the cringy and apish behaviour that goes on at times, especially on the sidelines. You'd wonder if these people would behave in a similar way back at home, I'd say not. Kiernans win will definitely give the likes of Towers and NLS some encouragement.

MacCurtains have had a great few seasons and are a model to all other up and coming clubs on how to get their house in order and to improve. I wonder can any other club come up and hold their own like that at senior.
