Replying To gunman:  "Prove THEM wrong???"
The management team that don't have confidence in the players.

They are being lambasted for not having the press night. If they had one they would be lambasted for what they might say. However I do think that a Press Night might have generated a wee bit of interest in the game.

I wonder who all are definitely ruled out? I'd say Langan definitely is. McBrearty and Mogan are hardly ready yet either?
I think if we're to have any chance we'll need McCole to do a job on Keelan Sexton and we'll need Gallen going well at the other end, assuming he is over his injury that is.

Likely starting 15...

1. Patton
2. Curran
3. McCole
4. Ward
5. Gallagher
6. McMenamin
7. McColgan
8. McGonigle
9. McGee
10. Thompson
11. O'Baoíll
12. O'Donnell
13. Brennan
14. Gallen
15. McFadden

The options are limited enough from the bench.

Saturday is going to be interesting team wise. When the squad is announced Friday we'll have a better idea where we stand. It's a winnable game which I think we we will win. Management have to look outside the box for this one, play a few young lads who are mobile . The nucleus of a good team is still there. Ticket got and looking forward to it. We shudnt fear Clare win on Saturday and get ready for a huge game against Derry in ballybofey. That's the game players want to be playing in. I see game is not on tv so hopefully our fans will travel in big numbers. Be proud of your county..

I can't think of much to say about the Clare game, we don't even know who is available player wise. I never remember such a lack of interest in a championship game. Clare are a div 2 team but we got beat by a div 3 team, I guess that would make Clare slight favourites with home advantage. If we can win this game, we should qualify from the group regardless of results against Derry and Monaghan. Would a win just prolong the agony of a terrible season?

I thought the Ulster final was very similar in nature to the Donegal and Derry final the previous year. With a little more positivity in our play we could have easily won that match. We have really fallen off a cliff this year.

Good enough team to win. Clare are not strong defensively get Brennan o donnell and gallen running at them., they don't like runners, ah I'm getting more confident by the day.

Travelling to Ennis in hope rather than expectation, clare are a better outfit than down, and don't lack belief and have a wily manager in Collins. If we lose we are out of the championship as we won't be getting any change out of monaghan or derry. Unless there is huge improvement in our performance level from down game we will be getting our ***** handed back to us. Time for players to stand up and stop hiding behind management as an excuse.

I remember being in ennis in 2019 for first game of league in 2019 division 2 and we just about deserved the win with a strong performance in last 10 minutes.

While I wouldn't be losing any sleep over not having a press night, I fail to see the logic of not having one.

GAllen, isn't fit and Jamie brennanon hasn't run at anyone in about 2 years.....odonnell the only one of them 3 with any sort of form.

Yeah our scoring returns have been woeful this year. I know we are without our best attacker and miss McHugh's penetrating runs but still. I can see a similar pattern emerging as the Down game, we'll probably do OK for about 55 minutes or so but as we begin to tire our limited options from the bench will cost us and Clare will pull away to win by about 4 or 5 points. Obviously I hope I'm very wrong, but nothing we've seen thus far this year would inspire any confidence.

Would be very much in line with this prediction. We had a 4 week break before the Down game, so like many I was naively hopeful we would have produced a much sharper display than the weak league performances. Unfortunately, while we looked a bit stronger defensively, we had no visible attacking strategy. Not convinced the layoff will have been utilised to anything close to full effect.Scoring returns have been poor, not optimistic of a win here at all but pray I'm wrong.

Would imagine this is spot on. And no bench at all.

Yeah can see a Clare win by around 7 points.

I sprayed some rushes there last week and it looks like it's done the job...

I wonder what is the cause of these serious hamstring injuries.I see Langan needed an operation too and will probably be out for the group stages. All this talk about S&C preventing injuries seems to be the opposite.I always felt that just simple stretches pre games prevented Hamstring injuries.Too much Gym work might be interfering with a players natural flexibility.

That is unusual confidence for a Donegal supporter.I would have been expecting you to say that the rushes will probably be back worse than ever.

A lot of the S&C coaches in Donegal regard themselves as some sort of gurus.

The amount of injuries in both the club and county scene would suggest otherwise.

I'd say we can forget about Langan for this year. He's probably better off concentrating on getting his rehab done and being back for club championship whenever that starts.

Far too much gym work
