You have a bee in your bonnet about Rathcline for some reason. They are not a bad team when they have their full compliment and I don't think it's fair to say they are a one man team. They are a bit off the top teams alright but they wouldn't want to be taken for granted come championship. They are streets ahead of Drumlish anyway, I don't know what you are talking about re jammy goals in last years championship match. Rathcline had that match won after 15 mins, you could have gone home.

He is playing down his own clubs chances as usual. A team with all the talent at their disposal and he ranks them fourth.

No bee in my bonnet. Just don't understand how their supporters think they are top 5 or 6 in the county. They are not. Now in about 10 years they might be, as they have a decent under 14 team at the minute. But they will have to keep thosr guys playing, easier said than done. Mark Oran Kenny and 10 times out of 10, they will lose. Just telling it how it is.

Not playing down my teams chances at all. Just look at our league form this season. We won't be near winning championship this year.

Killoe, Colmcille and Abbeylara have the best mix of talent, experience and physicality. Clonguish may have lots of talent but still have only experience of losing in pearse park and lack size, look at 2 of there best players on the county u21 team, very skilful forwards but the 2 smallest lads on the team

So they are showing up 3 plus times a week for training and league matches and not caring what happens?? that is 100% not the case, no team starts in Jan/Feb not caring if they don't win games!!! Missing players can not be an excuse to not caring, every club is effected some way by players missing. The league structure is a complete joke as well as the the championship but I am not having lads say they do not care if they dont win..

Rathcline 5th favourites?? lol I'll have some of what you are taking!! Personally, I'd have Connollys ahead of us and possibly Cashel. Spinx (Longford) - Posts: 1536 - 05/05/2026 11:41:39 2671075 Link 0 |

With their record in Pearse, third favourites behind Killoe and Colmcille might be just about right. Cant see any dark horses upsetting the top two. Clonguish have definitely the talent to challenge top two B&G (Longford) - Posts: 421 - 05/05/2026 13:12:49 2671097 Link 0 |

I know connollys are badly hit with injuries at the moment with 5 key starters out injured , cashel having Liam belton in charge might help and connollys having Tommy donohoe might give a manager bounce for them to improve on last year and Niall Sheridan in charge of Mostrim i would still have Mostrim and kilashee as the top 2 rest is very changeable

I would agree with you on your top 2 in both championships.

The Gaels are in a bad bad state at the moment, unless they improve vastly between now and July I cant see them getting out of the group. Killoe's second string cud be a dark horse.
