Looks like Killoe will sail into the Co Final and will probably win it. Champions in 2023 and should have won it last year only for Abbey to sting them unexpectedly in the semi.

Hard to believe a senior club like Colmcille not conditioned.

Amazingly not a work about Clonguish. They were on fire in a tough group. Will have you much for a Dromard side depending on McGee for scores. I would have them as favourites gor the title this year B&G (Longford) - Posts: 392 - 07/09/2025 20:20:15 2635228 Link 0 |
Clonguish vs dromard - clonguish by 6/7 Rockshorecider (Longford) - Posts: 71 - 08/09/2025 17:30:51 2635371 Link 0 |
Slightly wrong on the order of group A, but still might pan out correct for semi-finalists. 3 of the quarter finals should be good battles and hard to call. Carrickedmond will not fear Rathcline, who still have a lot to prove. The Rats should just get to a 1st semi final in over 20 years but wont be surprised in Carrickedmond win. Colmcille and Abbeylara is vary hard to call, as both are very inconsistant. If both turn up and play good football, Colmcille might shade it. Killoe should beat Mullinalaghta even though this fixture has only gone 1 way in last 10 years. Mullinalaghta have the upperhand mentally, their fight is going to be matching the mileage and speed. Not sure if Dromard will challenge Clonguish, can't see it. Won't beat Clonguish, nobody will. No team close to putting a hand on this current Clonguish outfit. Won all their group games comfortably and with some cricket scores along the way. They aren't division 1 and back to back Leader Cup winners for nothing. Carrickedmond might not be a pushover for Rathcline, if there's a surprise at the weekend that might be it. You might want to recheck your stats. Beat an Abbeylara side minus the best forward in the county over the past 10 years by a point in injury time.

Ah would ya stop!! LOL.....you're lads are just as good as Clonguish. And if they get over the line against Dromard, they will have one of the two teams who appeared in the county final last year to contend with!! My money is been put on Killoe to win it out. Killoe will stroll into the final with all their big guns ticking over nicely. I've got 3 out of the last 4 county champions right.....Abbey caught me on the hop last year!

They will beat a Dromard side who rely on their elder statesmen for the majority of their scores. This could be the most one sided contest of the weekend. Surely this is the time to follow up on their recent underage dominance to conquer at senior level. After flopping miserably last season they will want to put record straight. A team of kids losing to a Colmcille team which has won a championship and narrowly lost another is not a flop. Should beat Dromard but anything after that is anybody's guess.

The lads saying Killoe haven't a hope of winning it needs their heads checked!! Oddball (Roscommon) - Posts: 972 - 12/09/2025 12:12:43 2635839 Link 0 |
They have great chances but wouldn't write off mulinaghta just yet picking off a result. You are kind of saying kiloe easily and then say not easy game if they win quarter and may they will but it's not foregone conclusion just yet Gaaforlife2023 (Longford) - Posts: 992 - 12/09/2025 17:32:17 2635910 Link 0 |
9.15 iFriday the 12th Birmingham and not one half time score from the Longford Co Board. Absolutely amateur hour when you compare them to Roscommon. Dunnor (Longford) - Posts: 54 - 12/09/2025 21:05:44 2635919 Link 0 |
The longford phone app is very good. Has regular updates on the games

I wasn't keeping an eye online tonight as I was at the game in Newtown, but the Longford GAA app updated the group stage games every 5 to 10 minutes. But the updating on the county x page has been diabolical the last couple of years.

looking forward to killoe and mullingatha this weekend . Will be a intense physcial encounter . Hearing shane donohue is back to full fitness , his presence around the middle third along side, Ronan Keogh , james moran and the farrelys will be a big addition for killoe. I think they will edge this one by 1-3 points tacosauce1968 (Leitrim) - Posts: 15 - 13/09/2025 09:22:09 2635949 Link 0 |
Won't be a contest between them unfortunately.
