"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way--in short, the period was so far like the present period that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only."

Couldnt agree more its a disgrace that the games havent been moved to a more suitable location, Ballinamore was a great location for the quarter finals. Why cant the other games be moved there. Another great idea from the cronies in the county board!!

Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada Gaels is being renovated, thats why all the senior games are being played in ballinamore this weekend.

Very surprising and a bold move by Leitrim GAA to play semi finals on a field with no grass. I will be watching eagerly to see how this unique experiment plays out.

They should have played it in Pairc Ui Heslin in ballinamore as mentioned on their website and some people confuse for Pairc Sean.

Imagine some people showing up in ballinamore for a game that is obviously on in Carrick!! Go to Carrick for the game with no grass - please

Sorry I'm confused. Is the game in Ballinamore or Pairc Sean?

If there was ever a greater example of Chinese whispers or commenting on something without actually checking if it's true, then the location of the game in this thread is the prime example...god help us.

If would take less clicks to check on the Leitrim GAA website or Facebook than to comment... God help us all

Back to the drawing board for the Fenagh franchise

Fenagh will never get over the line after today. That was their chance and it slipped away on them. Obviously Ryan O Rourke loss was a hammer blow but Mohill just know how to win these games and Fenagh don't.

No championship again for fenagh. Not many left for them to blame and surly it can't be the players fault!!!!.

You'd have to fancy SOH now regardless. Hopefully it will be a good final.

Haven't won it since 1932.

They are so close. Every bit as good as mohill, ballinamore and Carrick, which for the population those teams boast compared to Fenagh is remarkable.

I don't think it's over for this fenagh generation yet, they could still win a championship in the next 3 or even 5 years but you'd have to think that after that then with the rural de-population the ship will have sailed for the foreseeable future.

Do Ballinamore get to play the final at their home field?? Or does it have to be a neutral venue??

I thought they played better when he came off. Riordian had a great game I thought. And when Donal Wrynn moved inside he caused havoc and could have easily scored another 1 or 2 goals. But that the joys of championship..

Mohill have the experience.. with all due to respect to them they have to be commended.. they are the linchpins of Leitrim football the last decade.. 6/7 leagues and 4 Championships wins and probably 7 appearance in finals. Some going!

I'm not kicking anyone. It's time the players started to listen and learn and stop giving the orders if this so called great fenagh team want a championship.

If they had experienced and proven coaches in there when it counted during that semi final would it have helped Fenagh win one wonders.

Coming back to this. I went looking on twitter for score updates on the three intermediate games today. Granted they were all finished but at least I thought 8 might be able to see how it went score for score. Found nothing. Ah well. I'd just have to make do with the cold results. Went onto Leitrim GAA's website. Bang, there they are. Far from a disgrace.

Anyone find it a bit ridiculous that Ballinamore will have home advantage in the county final this year? I think it is completely unfair on other teams that have trained all year for this occasion to have this disadvantage going into the biggest games of their lives!

Home advantage was the only reason they got over the line against St Mary's yesterday. Mary's would've bet them off the park in any other venue.

Sour grapes much?
Wasnt at any of the semis but they seemed like good tight games which is good to see.
I see that Manor are in B'glera again for their relegation final, handy for them. Would tip them to stay up
