Another hard earned and deserved draw for our U20s as the scoreline suggests defences was on top. Best patch in the match was when we outscored Sligo 6-0 to lead 8-6. Clearly last week's effort showed then against a Sligo team that was rested.

Mayo beat Galway tonight. We play Galway in 2 weeks time in Hyde Park. Plenty of good footballers on this Roscommon team and they're well able to field ball at midfield.

Congratulations to Daire Cregg who been chosen on the Higher Education team of the year against very tough opposition. Hopefully he can rediscover that Sigerson Cup form and bring it to the rest of the championship. We all now know that he has the ability.

Yes fingers crossed for the lad. Deserves a break from injuries non stop really since his days as minor.

Some Div 1 final today high quality high intensity battle that had it all. Both could meet again in the latter stages of the All Ireland although both probably won't be as open defensively.

That's a pity. Croans probably could go to mid and Elphin to north....Eire Og will be left out on the western front. Could they convince Ballaghadereen players to enter into a western divisonal team next year? They're not up to much in Mayo :D

What's the story with Jack duggan . Has he been dropped from the panel or injuried didn't see much of his name during allianz league compare to when he was on the FBD league.

Interesting draw in seniors. Tulsk face neighbours oran again and face newly promoted castlerea and ros gaels.. boyle have a tough draw and str brigids interesting draw .

Group b in the intermediate will be interesting Group 3 top teams in it eire og, furety and St croans. Strokestown seem will top Group c and elphin in group a.

Not this year was to be three divisional teams instead of two. Elphin,Croans,Eire OG not taking part putting their focus into the intermediate championship it seems.

Jack Duggan was in the stand along with a number of other panel meme bets at Kerry game so I assume he's still training, just not making the matchday squad. I always felt it would be next year before we would see much of him anyway

Monaghans form followed them into the first championship game and looks like they didn't rectify their defensive woes. I know they had a quicker turn around than us but I hope to God we can turn the ship around in a few weeks time. We shouldn't need a wake up call but that should be a loud siren.

Looks like the league final appearances did Westmeath and Leitrim no favours, playing 4 weeks on the trot. Similar to Mayo last year. They really need to put a two week gap between league finals and championship.

Never much between Cavan and Monaghan the goals made the difference today.

Westmeath are inconsistent, didn't expect them to win last week or lose today. Sligo are a head of Leitrim will find themselves playing in Div 2 soon enough and Leitrim will struggle to stay up in Div 3.

True but the goals are the running theme with Monaghan, they are conceding bucket loads and didn't manage to arrest it for championship. Hopefully Roscommon have been working on their problem areas from the league.

I would guess that there might be a positional change or two as Matthew Thompson might need some attention after scoring 6 points for Galway last week. (3 from play, 2 marks & 1 free). However Galway had a good range of scorers in their forwards.
Roscommon can't afford to start slowing again this week, but their fitness and determination got them out of jail in their previous two matches. With a weeks break they should really go for it from the start as I believe that it is Galways 4th game in consecutive weeks.
Best of luck to both the under 21's and minors
( v Mayo) this week.
