The point was though that losing the calibre of players of Luc O'Connor and Ryan Flaherty swung it to Annaghdown when Claregalway have numerous players who've been involved with Galway teams such as Eamon McGrath, Conor Flaherty, Conor Campbell, Jack Glynn, Jack Mullen, Luc O'Connor, Ryan Flaherty, Jack Lonergan, Owen Morgan, Daniel Fitzmaueice, Jack Ramsey, Daniel Hughes, Eanna Monaghan, Matthew Collins, Eoin Geraghty and Danny Cummins, that's 16 players.
Annaghdown then have Olan Kelly, Daithi and Diarmuid Kilcommins, Ethan Forde, Eoin Newell, Stephen Curley, Cathal Heavey and Damien Comer, that's 8 players.
Claregalway have twice the players Annaghdown have that have county set-up experience" If they started then those two players are obviously the best players in their positions and they were playing well.So it did of course make a difference.
