Replying To Eire89:  "I know Costello came in to 26 for Comer any idea who the other 3additional members? Good win and hopefully some momentum gained. Of Down Kerry & Donegal you would like Down but I wouldn fear Kerry after the showing against Meath and their injuries probably best try beat them before Croke Park considering our record against team. Unfortunately it feels like the end for Comer can't stay fit. Does he go with Flatherty in goal?"
We don't know the extent of Comer's injury, so hopefully, he does make it back.
As regards keeper, I feel both players have top class qualities; Gleeson has a huge physical presence, is brave, an excellent shot stopper and has incredible distance from dead ball. Flaherty on the other hand is adequate in those facets of play, but where I feel he trumps Gleeson is he's voiciferous and good at marshalling his defence. So, imho, I think he should hold onto the position.

Best of luck to Galway going forward…Connachts last hope. Mayo in a dire place at this time but the dawn is darkest just before the dawn.

Replying To Alwaysencourage:  "Well actually the stats at the end of the match would contradict that but dont let facts get in the way.Conot Flaherty is a very good outfield player and goalie.Christ he only started two games which they won.You would swear they had lost yesterday.Give the lad a chance and support both goalkeepers. He actually did alot right."
He did a lot right to be fair and I wouldn't be surprised to see him start the next day. That being said, there were some serious malfunctions at various stages on kick outs(as there was against Derry with Gleeson) . We can't keep getting away with it . It's not just the two lads obviously , lot more to it than that so I'm sure there will be more done on it during the week

Comer is so unlucky, we have a few like that ourselves, other fellas must be made of steel the amount of abuse they can stand,
I have great time for Galway but I don't want to see any of ye in Ballybofey next weekend! away up to Newry with ye!!

Gleeson was a huge part of us winning Connacht this year, remember the save from Hession and the touch on the 2 pointer over the bar? Yesterday was not the day to change keeper and we're lucky it didn't backfire, I'd prefer to see Gleeson back in goal next week TBH.

It was the Cavan game that cost ye Yew, whatever happened. I thought Mayo showed great heart and courage today, in a very tight game, goal chances on both sides. It's a strange championship system where teams that have lost 2 games are still in it.

How on earth can someone who is presumably doing a serious rehab, then warm-up, recovery etc tear a muscle? I can't recall any Galway player being this injury prone. Back for Roscommon, then injured, then back against Derry, injured. I knew he was bad when he wasn't even a sub, if he was somewhat half right they'd surely have had him on the bench.

He was walking around on Saturday no issue. A torn muscle on Thursday wouldn't look like that 2 days later.

Steady on a phápa. They're a very good football team and up at home they're going to be a serious challenge. They have some top quality who can do real damage.
If we're not at it for decent spells of this game, we'll be saying goodbye to this year's championship.
Down are on the rise, unlike Derry who seem to be slipping. We struggled massively with Derry.
Odhrán Murdock is a brilliant footballer and some athlete as welll. Havern scores very heavily.
We need to get stuck into them from the start.

Agree, best out of the three possibilities but still an away game with 1 weeks preparation against a team that looks to be on the up this year. Only saw the second half of their match with Monaghan yesterday but they have some good shooters and aren't afraid to go at teams.
